OKAY IS IT NORMAL TO HEAR BIRDS AT 12 AM IN THE MORNING?? LIKE IT'S DAWN?

12:14 am here... so quiet I can here my son fart in the other room

I'm in Central California and I also noticed the weird red sky mixed with the cloud cover tonight.

I have also written in other posts about the birds chirping.

I started to notice it a couple of weeks ago. They start right around 1am and end at about 3am.

Not every night, but several nights in a row and then it ceased and then again for a couple of nights. It is unusual and eerie.

no it isnt normal to hear birds but if the sky is light enough maybe so.

at this time of year, what you most likely are hearing are males that failed to find a mate... it's funny and sad... they call out to each other at night like they are lonely at the singles bar.

Lots of chirping here in Boston around 3AM, about an hour earlier than normal.

but why earlier in the morning than usual?
