The most confusing passage in the Bible
Daniel 9 is one of the most difficult passages in the Bible to study. It’s quite enigmatic, and that’s why people get confused by it (the 2nd part of the chapter, that is, the first half is a beautiful prayer we use till today).

While Christian scholars believe that Daniel’s prophecy concerns a 70 week period, if you read it closely, he refers to a six week period and then a 62 week period (what confuses people more is that the term “shavuah” used here, does not refer to weeks, it’s a Torah term for a 7-year period.)

Accordingly, the prophecy addresses two events, one that was to occur 49 years after the rebulding of Jerusalem (beginning of v. 25).

Then there will be a destruction 62×7(434) years after that. These calculations lead us to understand

The first ”anointed” is Cyrus: Isaiah proclaims that Cyrus would give the actual command to rebuild Jerusalem. God declares through the prophet, ”He [Cyrus] shall build My city” (Isaiah 45:13; see also Ezra 1:1-8, 6:1-5). Indeed, it was Cyrus who issued a proclamation (ca. 537 B.C.E.) for the return, and for the rebuilding to start. This occurred forty-nine years after the destruction of Jerusalem. God declares concerning Cyrus, ”He is My shepherd, and shall perform all My pleasures; even saying of Jerusalem: ’She shall be built’; and to the Temple: ‘Your foundation shall be laid’” (Isaiah 44:28). Hence, the Scriptures teach that it was during the reign of Cyrus that the rebuilding of the city began. This was symbolized, first of all, by the start of construction on the Second Temple, which was completed ca. 516 B.C.E., seventy years after the destruction. It is with the completion of the Temple that the period of desolation officially terminates.

Am'mi,

Grace and peace unto thee. Daniel 9 is very powerful. My question to you is do you believe in Messiah, and or Rach HaKodesh. Daniel 9:25 is what we are on the verg of. I have heard that part of Israel wants to have the CorbanPisach offering started once again, that the stones for the alter have already been gathered the pitch is made. Is Jacob still looking for the chief cornerstone? Also, look at Proverbs 30:4
"Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment" who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?"

Hosea 2:16
"And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ish'i; and shalt call me no more Ba'-a-li."

I can continue brother, just wanted to know Who you believe Messiah is?

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

Is the bump the sign of continuance?

If so Am'mi, we do too seek after a continuing city Whose builder and Maker is G-D. There has been supressed pieces of Tanak, tell me brother; do you have access to scrolls? I ask thee what is contained in MALACHI 4. Or here is another place; PSALM 110
"THE LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Mel-chiz'-ed-ek."

What order is this? order of Melchizedek? Was He the One that meet Aram from the slaughter of the kings? Four with five?

There is a mess of questions in this one, how answereth thou; for am I my brothers' keeper? Yea, I am.

"O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Ju'dah, and to the inhabitants of Je'ru'sa-lem, and unto all Is'ra-el, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee."

Tell me brother, do not the Scriptures agree that Messiah must suffer to enter into His glory? Another piece of suppressed Scripture is ISAIAH 53, the suffering servant. Do you believe Jeremiah, that the LORD will do a new thing? Is it possible that we have entered into that New Covenant?
JEREMIAH 31:31
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:"
Here are some more keys and pearls for you:
GENESIS 1:26
"And G-d said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
GENESIS 2:7
"And the LORD G-d formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."
JOB 32:8
"But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding."

Or how bout when Joshua the high priest is in heaven. The son of Nun? Look to Zechariah 3. If by any means I might compell you to walk with me here and to understand; by all means respond, brother. For I will answer thee with good words and comfortable Words.

Re: The most confusing passage in the Bible

Dear friend,

Remember Daniel was sealed till the end of days!

Daniel 9 is a DUAL PROPHECY... it happened when Daniel discovered Jeremiahs time table and is happening again in these last moments prior to Messiahs return!

The end of days are here now!

DANIEL 9:20-27
Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God, yes, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, reached me about the time of the evening offering. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, “O Daniel, I have now come forth to give you skill to understand. At the beginning of your supplications the command went out, and I have come to tell you, for you are greatly beloved; therefore consider the matter, and understand the vision:
“ Seventy weeks are determined
For your people and for your holy city,
To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,

To seal up vision and prophecy, May 14, 1941 “The first round up of Jews!”
And to anoint the Most Holy.
“ Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command < May 14, 1948 – MIDNIGHT! , Lyar 6 Hebrew
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; (7 weeks =1941 to 1948)
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.
“ And after the sixty-two weeks < May 14, 1948 to May 13, 2010 (OR AFTER, OF WHICH i DO NOT HAVE AN ANSWER !!!)
Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; < God is not selfish, this is for us!
And the people of the prince who is to come < May 13, 2010 ?

Read the link below; I am NOT declaring any events on behalf of God. These are the facts and you must make provision for your own soul! I DO NOT KNOW WHAT "AFTER" MEANS! Only God knows the timing, I PRESENT are only the facts; below is the report for May 13, 2010

[link to www.ynetnews.com]

Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood, < THE GREAT TRIBULATION
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; (a one year lie)
But in the middle of the week ( “sometime around 6 months” )
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. ( Christianity will be outlawed! )
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate.” < He is cast alive into the lake of fire!

The Holocaust - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The persecution and genocide were carried out in stages. ...... Once the mass killing of
Jews began in “1941”

1941 The holocaust began
+ 7
= 1948 These are the first 7 years of Daniel 9

1948 Is the rebirth of Israel
+ 62
= 2010

Christians are headed into a very traumatic season this year, 2011! Gods Word is true, I know these numbers and calculations belong to Him, and are for “encouragement” for His Church. Please understand, I must write these things or I may have this understanding taken away and given to another, I am far to anxious to see Jesus Christ in heaven, to throw in the towel and not believe Gods Word, or to worry if I am pleasing to, or to fear any man at this point! I do pray you will understand that God is giving us a heads up so to speak so we can inform as many saints as will listen to us!
Gods Word specifically says “after” the 62 weeks!
2010 is finished 2011 is after! This can only mean one very important moment for us all is quickly approaching, Although none of us knows the day or hour we certainly can see the signs violently approaching,I am only one man and I seek truth and understanding from The Holy Spirit, please examine your heart to determine if you are of the Faith! This is eternally important!
I DO NOT KNOW WHEN CHRIST IS COMING! But Christ is coming, deal with sin and light the lamp. Jesus Christ says, unsheathe the Sword!
The Unsheathed Sword Is Very Quick And Very Powerful, MIDNIGHT IS APPROACHING!

Beautiful Achi or Achoti. My contemplations also. OP, you being an Israelite please explain the allegory of Exodus 33. Ohel Moed and Yehoshua Ben Nun a young man departed not out of the midst of the Ohel Moed.

Mosheh' Tent of meeting 7 -11

33:7 And Mosheh took the ohel (tent), and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Ohel Moed (tent of meeting). And it came to pass, [that] every one which sought YEHOVAH (יהוה) went out to the Ohel Moed (tent of meeting), which [was] without the camp.

33:8 And it came to pass, when Mosheh went out to the ohel, [that] all the people rose up, and stood every man [at] his tent door, and looked after Mosheh, until he was gone into the ohel.

33:9 And it came to pass, as Mosheh entered into the ohel, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood [at] the door of the ohel, and [YEHOVAH (יהוה)] talked with Mosheh.

33:10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand [at] the ohel door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man [in] his tent door.

33:11 And YEHOVAH (יהוה) spoke to Mosheh face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but His servant Yehoshua Ben Nun, a young man, departed not out of the ohel.

1948 Is the rebirth of Israel

Re: The most confusing passage in the Bible

This was symbolized, first of all, by the start of construction on the Second Temple, which was completed ca. 516 B.C.E., seventy years after the destruction. It is with the completion of the Temple that the period of desolation officially terminates.

LONG LIVE THE TRUTH !
Quoting: Cyrus 1447808

Please understand that I am waiting for Jesus Christ to confirm what I am writing now, Time is very short and we must redeem the time we all have as best as we can. While Reading Revelation today the below was brought to my attention, God gives us so many truths through numbers He has left us in His Word. I am convinced that these numbers have been hidden from men until this moment we are living in. So here is what I see and when my vision is clearer you will receive that clarity in turn.
You may need to refer to the scriptures below to follow this!

This phrase caught my attention in Revelation 9;
" the HOUR and DAY and MONTH and YEAR"

I wondered why such a disturbing event as 1/3 of mankind being killed would be described in the above order of timing, so here is what I see in this.
Using Daniel 9
The round up of Jews began shortly after MIDNIGHT 14 MAY 1941
Israel became a nation MIDNIGHT 14 MAY 1948
Conclusion; 12 + 14 + 5 +11 (12 a.m.- 14th day- 5th month- 11 being the year 2011.....

These numbers add up to (42) being a very important end times number. 3 1/2 years?
The fact that the round up of Jews, and the birth of Israel was at the same times and dates causes me caution that this same date and time is when Satan will make his move on Christians in 2011.

The beginning of the holocost!
Now things are interesting, 12+14+5+11+ 1941 = 1972 The Yom Kippur war [link to www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org]

The rebirth of Israel;
12+14+5+11+1948 = 1979 Egypt Israel peace treaty
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

All 4 dates concerning Israel are the same 7 year difference

Recap; 12+14+5+11 + 1941 = 1972 1979 Egypt Israel peace treaty
12+14+5+11 + 1948 = 1979 - 1972 The Yom Kippur war
= 7 years difference

I don’t have the answer for the number 42 except that it divides by 6 which makes 7 !
As I said, you will receive the answer when I receive it but these dates are very very important to watch!

Revelation 9

Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.
But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Now let me clear up an area of confusion for you. Daniel 12:11. And from the
time when the continual sacrifice shall be taken away and the abomination unto
desolation shall be set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred ninety days. The
continual sacrifice is the mass and the abomination of desolation is when the doctrine of the mass is changed in my church- the Roman Catholic Church. If you study church history, this doctrine of the mass is the one Satan has tried to destroy. From the time of the early church until now

It's amazing to me that you would bring up Sampson. Been thinking alot about him lately. Sampson is the Danite who will bring final destruction upon the House of Dagon (Fish Diety) (Paganized Christianty). This Ark of the Covenant is going to be returned back to its proper field at Beth Shemesh. (The Field of Yehoshua)

1 Samuel 6
1And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

2And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.

3And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

4Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

5Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

6Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

7Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:

8And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.

9And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Bethshemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us: it was a chance that happened to us.

10And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:

11And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.

12And the kine took the straight way to the way of Bethshemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Bethshemesh.

13And they of Bethshemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.

14And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Bethshemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.

15And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Bethshemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.

16And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.

17And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

18And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite.

Brethren,

And brother how abouts Achitzedek, thank you: knowing that there has been a change in the priesthood; found in PSALM 110. King David understood the Rach HaKodesh did he not? "The LORD said unto my Lord..." well if David was a King during that point who would be his Lord and the LORD? "For the LORD hath sworn and will not repent, thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek." If you would like to hear Messiah look toward JOB 32-42; you have heard of JOB's three friends, who is this fourth friend that just appears? E-li'-hu the Bu-zite of the kindred of Ram. I know Tizrah understands, and looks to be like what at least two witnesses and many more.

Re: The most confusing passage in the Bible
I am firmly convinced that Daniel's prophecy of the 70 weeks (Dan. 9:24-27) showed us when the Messiah's ministry would start. However, I read somewhere that Sir Isaac Newton (who spent much of his later years studying Daniel) had concluded that it also pointed to the second coming of the Messiah.

With that information, I began looking for clues regarding how this prophecy might also apply to the return of Yeshua:

DANIEL 9:25 "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore [davar l'hashiv] and build [v'liv'not] Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be SEVEN weeks and SIXTY-TWO weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. (NKJV)

I believe that the second prophetic command to "restore" and "build" Jerusalem came on June 28, 1967, seventeen days after the end of the Six-Day War. It was on this day that the Israeli government redrew the boundaries of Jerusalem and fully restored it to their control. The pronouncement also annexed 70 square kilometers to the city's area and substantially increased its size, building Jerusalem into the biggest city in Israel.

I've always wondered why the prophecy broke the 69-week time period down into 7 weeks of years and 62 weeks of years. However, it makes perfect sense if the partial period of 7 weeks of years also applies to the SECOND coming of Messiah.

If that's the case, the full 49 years from the second command to "restore and build" Jerusalem runs from 20 Sivan, 5727 (June 28, 1967) to 20 Sivan, 5776 (June 26, 2016). Rosh Hashanah 5777 is 99 days later (Oct. 3, 2016).

The number "9" is God's number of judgment:

1,260 (days) = 1 + 2 + 6 + 0 = 9

99 (days) = 9 + 9 = 18 = 1 + 8 = 9

(Year) 2016 = 2 + 0 + 1 + 6 = 9
