Hey everyone! We've all heard the stories lately about police aggression.

A few days ago my sister's 20 year old stepson was stopped by police in Rome, Ga for being underage and drunk in public. They tazed him and he flipped over a railing and fell ten feet. He begged the police not to taze him anymore because he couldn't feel his legs. They drug him back upstairs and onto the hood of the car. His pants fell off because he couldn't work his legs. They finally believed him and called an ambulance. He is paralyzed from the chest down and is now questioning living.

I don't know all the details yet but no matter what happened, this young man didn't deserve what happened. His life will never be the same.

Please help this story spread. Send it to everyone you can. Let's get it out and help his family find out what happened. Maybe if it gets more media attention the truth will come out. Nobody knows yet if it was the fall that broke his back or the rough treatment of the police as they manhandled him back to their car. It's been turned over to the G.B.I.

I decided to do a little research before commenting....you know, get more than one side of the story.

Here is the OTHER side:


Police say Walters, who was suspected of being intoxicated in public, had fled from police when he was tased twice.

According to a police narrative, police were attempting to arrest Walters when he fled across a Martha Berry Boulevard parking lot. Walters was tackled by McReynolds and tried to fight with the officer and was eventually shot with a Taser when he further resisted arrest.

Walters then got up and began to flee officers again, this time attempting to crawl under a hand railing and over a short wall near the Rome Taxi building on Martha Berry Boulevard when a Taser was used on him again.

IF what we are reading here is true then this is an unfortunate accident...but one that could have been avoided first by your sisters step son by NOT drinking, two...by not getting DRUNK and third by not fleeing AND FIGHTING with police...REPEATEDLY!

I am VERY sorry for his injuries but they are a product of his own actions......period.

He chose to climb a bridge. As far as we know, allt his kid did was choose to get drunk.

So yea its not the same thing at all. The consequence does not even come close to matching the offense.

Climb a bridge or ride a bike too fast? Theres a reasonable expectation that you will be paralyzed. Drinking alcohol? not so much. It happens a billion times a year with .0000000001% being paralyzed.

Althoug typically when tazed you tense and fall. I dont really see how one could make it over a railing, unless he was tased then tried to climb over to jump and was tased again as he was jumping.

IN which case teh cop should go to prison. Because you know what happens when you tazer them. Even if he was running, the cocksucker knew what would happen. He knew hed fall, and hed also know he wouldnt even be able to throw his arms out to brace for impact or anything.

Basically if you taze someone over any type of drop, odds of tehm being paralyzed increase exponentially cause being tazed makes you lose control of your arms, the devices that usually keep people from being paralyzed from a fall(wasnt sure if you were following).

Yea though teh cop is a cock sucker. Because again theres no way he could go over the raile unless
a. he was moving towars the rail
or be b. was in the act of climbing over it when he was tazed.

In either even the cop is culpable and i really hope he gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.


you say "oh yea we all make mistakes as kids but..." for this kid to get paralyzed. Well we all make mistakes but, i hope this cop gets prosecuted to the fullest available extent.

I just read the incident report and the tazing is NOT what led to this boys fall...it was his OWN actions in trying to escape......the officers were trying to hold him up and he was trying to get away...THIS is why he fell

It is very sad indeed, and that kid didn't deserved that.
Police uses tazing like our parents and old folks used belts and wipes on kids when they f-cked up. The only difference is that a tazer is a deadly weapon which has many times killed or harmed permanently.
Shame on the police and the people who do nothing about it.

The cop should spend time busting large rocks into small ones but most likely he will be let go to kill another with his reckless, trigger happy, mind control programming.
