She actually said "Miracle Baby"?

Yep, she's fucking around. That whore needs to be kicked to the curb. I don't think you can test paternity until the child is born though, but I could be wrong.

First...get a home pregnany tes nd have her do it while you watch. Confirm that she actually is pregnant first.

If she is, then you can get checked if you think you may have swimmers that breached the dam.

If she's not pregnant, it could be menopause hormones or parasites.

If she is pregnant and swears she didn't cheat, you could do lie detector test and see if she passes. If she does pass and didn't cheat and you didn't get her pregnant, then she's probably an alien abductee.

You didn't respond to my post so I'm posting it again.

Vasectomies DO NOT FAIL. The vas deferens is CUT and CAUTERIZED! Someone or something would have to un-do what was done. That's quite a convenient answer from Dr's. Of course it's much easier than them telling you the truth.

The Greys are behind cases like these. It would be your child because it would have your DNA.

In any case Step #1 is still...pregnancy test.

It took her two months to come up with the miracle baby story?

She is hiding something.

Yep, she decided to steamroll through it with a happy face and miracle-talk because she knows her husband, the OP well enough to know he will just go along with that.

Please listen to me!!
I was recently thinking about a very similar scenario (for psychology) and how I would feel going through it as a woman. IMHO don't speak with her about your doubts, if the child is yours that would cause a different world of shit. Support her throughout her pregnancy and after the birth, privately, get a DNA test with the child on your own. Don't let her know about the DNA test, ever, unless it's not yours. If the child isn't yours and you are man enough stay with her, it's not worth throwing away your life for a small case of the seven year itch (or in your case the 19 year itch.) I wish you luck in your marriage and with the new baby, take care and remember your love for one another and the good times.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1448613

Please STFU!

If you're going to become a psychologist...DON'T!

You're actually telling this guy to lie and keep his feelings bottled up and not communicate with his wife. You're also telling him to sneak around behind her back. And you're telling him to just live with the NOT KNOWING for the rest of his life.

You'll make one helluva psychologist!

For the sake of mankind.........DROP OUT NOW!!

I agree with the OP's intention of having her undergo an abortion if it's not his baby.

OP must protect his own genes, he cannot divert resources to provide for the son of another male.

Its possible for you to still get her pregnant. My gyno told me once about a woman having her tubes tied and her husband had a vasectomy.

If she swears it yours and wants the baby, stay. You can always get a dna test after the baby is born. If its not yours, you can leave.

Err...he doesnt have any resources or genes left....so what is he protecting...his finances? He could look upon it as charity.....to his wife for making her be childless in her later years.

And at any time in the future...he can leave. Maybe...just maybe....he might actually like the baby and his newfound usefulness to another being.

Good luck with ur relationship - they are a lot of work sometimes.

Here r some facts on vasectomies:

May 5, 2004 -- As many as one in 100 vasectomies may fail to prevent pregnancy within five years of the procedure, a new study shows.

Researchers say that the study shows that like other birth control methods, vasectomies are not always 100% effective.

The study showed that six pregnancies were reported among 540 women within six weeks to 1.5 years after their husbands had a vasectomy.

"Couples considering vasectomy should be counseled about the small, but real risk of pregnancy following the procedure and that men are not sterile immediately after vasectomy," write researcher Denise J. Jamieson, MD, MPH, of the CDC, and colleagues.

A vasectomy is considered a permanent form of birth control to make a man unable to father a child. It is a surgical procedure in which the tube that carries the sperm from the testes to the urethra is cut or sealed off to prevent sperm from being released during ejaculation.

See a doctor and see if you are producing sperm.

Other Reason for Pregnancy After A Vasectomy

Sometimes a vasectomy fails because the vas deferens has grown back together. This happens very rarely, but it can occur. It is thought that only one in every one thousand procedures that this happens. When it does happen, this is called recanalization. It is thought that the main reason why pregnancy occurs after a failed vasectomy is because there are tiny pieces of sperm debris along with scar tissue and white blood cells that enable the vas deferens to grow and the end result is that it reconnects to the area where the incision was made and it splits the vas deferens.

Re: Wife is pregnant, but I had a vasectomy over 10 years ago.
You could start by getting your sperm tested. See if some swimmers are excaping.

My husband just went in for testing after his vasectomy. He was super relieved it worked.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1423410

This, and have a talk with her. Cheating is the number 1 suspect in this case. You can't force her to abort the baby even if it's not yours. She seems happy about it regardless so you just have to deal.

And surprisingly enough, relationships can endure past cheating if people discuss why it happened and work it out. A third party -- counselor -- can help sometimes. When you get right down to it monogamy is pretty silly anyway.

understand that this is very hard for me. i made my vows and one of those vows was through good times and bad. I also promised her father on his death bed that i would take good care of his daughter and that it was ok for him to go.

I always envisioned my wife as my life partner. i dont want anybody else. this is tough.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1428711

well get your test on swimmers and then get some honest communication going.

I am suspectful since she has taken to finding your a bit inferior. It is time to be firm but loving on this one. But abortion is not the answer and consider the potential for both of you in this one to learn and grow. You can also connect with the God within you for advice, and from your guardians. If this pregnancy should not continue, there will be a natural miscarriage.

Re: Wife is pregnant, but I had a vasectomy over 10 years ago.
I've been married to my wife for 19 years. We have two wonderful twin sons both in College. After my boys were born My wife was afraid to get her tubes tied so I got snipped for her. Since then things had been great. Our sex life was great and our friends were always jealous of how we managed to keep our marriage fresh and new.My wife is a wonderful mother and up till now a wonderful woman. Within the last few months my wife changed. She has been harping on me to change things about myself. Suddenly everything she accepted about me she hates. She hates my love for rock music, she hates my hair cut (the best mullet of all time) She hates my bushman beard, she hates the way I dress, the way I sneeze and latley even the way I rub her neck. She went through a little mid life crisis recently, by going out alot with her girl friends, going on trips and over spending. I love her and paid her debts off. I trusted her but occasionally i'd check her emails and phone texts when we was out of the room. Found nothing. She sits me down Tonight and tells me we are having a miracle baby and that she's been pregnant for 2 months. The look on her face was of sheer happiness and delight. I copied her gestures when she told me the news but deep down inside i'm tormented. I don't understand how we could have sex for 15 years with no oopsies and now suddenly we are pregnant? There are three possabilaties here. Either my sperm still swims and one got loose, she is the virgin fucking mary, or she cheated. I dont want to pi$$ her off by asking for a paternity test but I dont want to go through child rearing again. If this isn't my child I want her to terminate the pregnancy so we can work on things. If this is my child I'll be a man and raise another great human. How do I approach her on my feelings without having her go ape shit on me?
 Quoting: acdc rocks 1428711

If this isn't some lame troll thread: Talk to a lawyer OP. She probably has a BF and is thrilled at the thought of throwing you out and keeping the house and the kids. BUT also talk to your doctor. Vasectomies do reverse themselves at about ten years. It's unnatural and your body heals itself as much as possible. Example: I got pierced ears at 13 and had the holes for 25 years and then had a spell (about four months) when I didn't wear earrings, and my holes grew shut. I have pierced them twice but they keep growing shut even over night. It's weird. Your system does change every seven years, too.
