Servers? TVs? - etc. All of the above can be boiled down to: - How many kwh/month do you use |

Our highest bill was in winter, running a electric oil heater, 75.00 Living in an RV and moving when we like is very cool. Have a 06 travel trailer, and a nice pickup. Works well. Don't like the neighbors, move... Now we are in TX and our electric is paid. All bills paid. Cable, electric, water/sewer, we buy only our propane to cook with. Have a hott rod in the water heater, so no gas there, just the cook stove. We pay 350 a month here in Mineral Wells. I love physics. It bonds us eternally, it's what makes our computers work, it's what's in my morning cup of coffee, it's the thing that keeps the universe from vanishing due to lack of belief... |

Hopefully he will be over here in the US in several weeks. His dream is to live in an RV. I'm a little leery. Any regrets with your lifestyle? |

I have radiant floor heating which is mostly gas except for the pump. | Anonymous Coward User ID: 1446876 06/30/2011 07:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Kansas here - we have an all electric house but our unit is a heat pump - this works great in the summer but not so great in the cold winter. Average spring/fall bill is around 75-100 dollars - average summer bill is around 120-175 - average winter bill is around 140-200 dollars. I am in artificial menopause due to estrogen positive breast cancer so I get severe hot flashes and like it cold in the house - we keep the thermostat during all seasons at 68 degrees except on days like today where I run the fans and keep it at 72. |

No water heater, no washer or dryer, keep the AC set on 78 degrees, with only 300 square feet. One lamp and only the tv OR pc on, small refrigerator, and a floor fan that we only use to sleep ... that's it. I'd like to compare kwh usage and 'service fees' and cost. Last month: May 2 to June 1 Total: $97.44 Fee?: $11.50 Taxes: $6.36 Usage: 549 kwh All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Taiwan rates mentioned here [link to www.forumosa.com] as 12c/kWh or around half-Australian rate so most English teacher types probably living in small units with gas hot water, little cooking, dunno about heating, and air-con as a main question ... |
