I'm not too up on the religious side of things, but don't most U.S. hospitals push for circumcision?

For all 3 of my boys the hospitals pretty much take it for granted you are going to have the process done. And it's not religiously based.

Is this what everyone else experiences?

Hospitals in U.S. get extra $$$$ for every surgery they perform, including unnecessary procedures like circumcisions.
In Europe, where most hospitals aren't profit based, circumcisions are not performed at all.

Also, hospitals in the U.S. can sell foreskins to various scientific or cosmetic companies that use parts of the foreskin for science research or facial creams and other products.

it really isn't too funny to me. I had my penis skin cut and mutilated for vague reasons before I was old enough to have a say in it. It's a mutilation of the human form and should be stopped. The reasons for it are as bad as the reasons for the drug war.

I was cut as a baby and it had zero to do with religion, my parent were not and still aren't religious in any way. It was simply accepted practice. I have to admit, today, I'm extremely glad that my parents did it while I was too young to know better. I don't give a shit about being "whole" or anything like that - if I had the choice I wouldn't change anything.
