You need striking and grappling skills. Then, add Kali knife skills. Then, become an expert in handgun, shotgun, and rifle. Lastly, learn wisdom and good judgement so you don't have to use any of the above. No matter how tough you are, there is always someone tougher or luckier. P.S. I am a BJJ and Shotokan Black belt. |

BUT at this time Id train Brass Knuckle Foo, and Gun-Pop-Yu. People are dirty and packing. But of the traditional Martial Arts the Most succesful Single style athletes there are American Wrestlers. They took over the sport recently with Ground and Pound. |

I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 719889 United States 06/30/2011 03:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have trained in MMA, Boxing, and some Kung Fu. Of all the stuff I have done, I would have to say that MMA is probably the most diverse, but I feel boxing is actually capable of doing more damage. Watch an MMA match sometime. Pay good attention to their standup. Notice how they have pretty bad form (usually). MMA requires an individual to be a jack of all trades, so you never excel at any one thing. You can't afford to, because unless you are independently wealthy, dedicating the amount of time needed to master different aspects of MMA would take way too long. That's why I like boxing. It is very strategic, and you have two offensive weapons as opposed to like 9-10 for MMA. Because of this you can focus on mastering the techniques and be very strategic when it comes to fighting. To me, mastery equals lethality. I like Muay Thai. I always will. I think Krav Maga is probably a bit more combat oriented if one was looking for a sport that transfers over to combat. |
