Rugged, durable, and affordable. I do recommend the micarta scales for the BK2 though. "What you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul." |

Quoting: FUBARThe med kit is the hard part. Wish i could legally own morphine, diazepam, epinephrine and half a dozen very important survival medications. Some of the very strong antibiotics are hard to obtain also. IV equipment is pretty important too, its amazing how fast infection complications like diarrhoea can kill people if you dont have a drip. Somebody could catch crypto from river water after being a bit rundown after a few weeks on the move and it could end badly. There are no rules anywhere. The Goddess Prevails. |

Heres a good, but funny tip for you guys. If you are dehydrated, vomiting and you need rehydration; yet have no anti emetic medication and your waters sterility is in question. Using a bottle with a nozzle, you can enema that shit. Doesnt sound pleasant but could save your life. Cut a long story short, you guys dont need a 200lb bag of gear and equipment, you need survival skills. After a week of carrying a backpack that weighs as much as a person you will not be in good shape. Last Edited by Dr Discordia on 06/30/2011 06:45 PM There are no rules anywhere. Quoting: Dr DiscordiaNo tent or sleeping bag? Yeah of course. Tent weighs 1kg, but i have rope and plastic for extra cover too. Dont know what the bag weighs but its rated to -10, small as hell in the compression sack. Coffee can sized. The problem with a lot of lightweight stuff is you sacrifice durability for low weight, pros and cons really. I wouldnt expect a tent to last me more than a few months, at that point id be thinking about something more perm. Cool, my little hike tent takes up about a third of my 80L pack with my minus 10 taking up the bottom third. I've seen those tiny little sleeping bags but they were very expensive, are they good? n·stance/ˈinstəns/Noun 1. An example or single occurrence of something: "an instance of corruption" |

Where can I get one Quoting: Ready2bugoutI acutally just recently moved to the bay area can you explain the California Fees Big 5 usually has them for around $99. Kalifornia makes you pay a $25 registration fee and a $25 background check fee, or something of the likes. I never really cared to be bothered with what the fees are for, I had to pay them to get my gun, and that's all that I needed to know. Right now that's the only thing missing from my Bugout bag can you please tell me why you picked this riffle or was it a matter of price They are awesome, ww2 replica's, most of them. They shoot VERY straight, very nice rifle. Good for game, and people. Raised sites for long range shots. Common round, easy to buy ammo. Good choice BTW... I love physics. It bonds us eternally, it's what makes our computers work, it's what's in my morning cup of coffee, it's the thing that keeps the universe from vanishing due to lack of belief... |

I've seen those tiny little sleeping bags but they were very expensive, are they good? Quoting: InstanceHonestly, i dont think so, they dont compare to a proper down sleeping bag. They are useable, but not ideal. 80L backback is aproaching what i consider the weight/volume limit. I personally dont think massive amounts of bulk is a good idea in the long term. I dont consider the weight of water, machette, rifle/bow/crossbow in the BOB. Most of that stuff can be belt mounted or put on a sling. Not entirely sure if a hydration pack is the way to go. Cooking gear/fire equipment clips on the side of my bob, most of the military stuff like the webbing mess tin pouches are great for shit like that. There are no rules anywhere. Somebody could catch crypto from river water after being a bit rundown after a few weeks on the move and it could end badly. well morphine is almost impossible to get, but the lesser version of it TRAMADOL is easier to obtain as a pain-killer or pain-easer. maybe you can use that in your medipack?? i don,t want to give anyone idea,s for drugs or something but i get it that its only ment for emergency uses is it not?? for me personally, ive started collecting a few months ago every month i buy certain items, medikits, tarp, knife, axe, saw rope, en food and a waterfilter of course. i live in holland where there is much much much water everywhere, so my next buy is gonna be an inflatible kayak(with some repairkits and 2 component expanding foam if an irrepairable leak appears i fill the chambers with that.) i wanna go on bike or on foot so no hardshell kayak for on top of a car, its no use, there,s gonna be traffic for dozens of miles long everyday, let alone if there ever would be a disaster here. i also need a tent and woodgasburningstove and some more stuff. got my 100 liter backpack today in the mailorder. its gonna go on my back for walking and on my bikeluggage cart if i go for distances. well my new bug out bike is gonna be a cheap one as i think i leave it behind somewhere if it needs to be. the bike cart i choose is also manageable as a handcart and i choose a 2 person kayak so the handcart should fit in nicely, also a 2 person kayak can handle more luggage weight well every month nothing happens i get more usefull stuff. and even when nothing happens?? well i don,t want it to go bad, but i know that it,s gonna be bad. i might have the flee my home, or kicked out of my home if i can,t afford the mortgage anymore because of bad economy. well then i have no choice to survive. better to see it now and act on it now, most people of holland are just as ignorent as the rest of the world. so arrogant, nothing will happen to us. well we will see. |
