The real issue here, is that they want to put a border between Northern and Southern California, to enforce further federal border laws.
Probably because they want to heavily enforce search and seizure of all commerce between the North and South, for multiple reasons.
Dividing up one of the greatest states in the union, is not a solution to any problem we are currently facing. IMO.
Work on securing the one border that matters in the area, the southern border with Mexico.
