Not since I was a kid have I seriously entertained the concept of hell/dark regions

After all, we didn't create ourselves. We're simply each of us beads on a long, long thread. The only characteristics, etc. we possess are those bequeathed us by our ancestors

It doesn't make sense, therefore, to judge or condemn people when they had NO input into the genes they'd inherit. And NO sane god worth a pinch of salt could judge his own creations and find them lacking. If God had wanted perfect people, he should have created them as perfect from the outset and maintained that perfection. That's my opinion

The other night, though, I was watching videos about Hinduism and Vedic philosphies and was stunned to learn that Vedic theories of Time and the Universe DO have regions we would call 'hell' -- and they drew diagrams of these

As the ancients appear to have had an advanced knowledge of so much else, I'm inclined to accept their belief in several layers of 'hells'
