Your quote

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

There can not be two forever's. Their are in fact two aionion or ages-worlds.

Re: Jesus Warned Us That Hell is a Real Place and Torment is FOREVER for the Wicked
Jesus Christ is the Word of God

John
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name [was] John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all [men] through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but [was sent] to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 [That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So Jesus Christ is the ACTUAL Word of God made into human flesh.

Revelation

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Notice ..... the lake of fire burns forever and ever and hell is cast into the lake of fire.

Hell is like the local police dept's holding cell UNTIL a person is transported to the JAIL.

Hell is real, but it is only a temporary holding cell until a person is thrown into the lake of fire.

If anyone tells you differently than what God's Word says, then that person is a liar and this is his/her fate

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

When these lying disinfo agents start spewing their garbage, seek the truth in the King James Bible. I recommend this FREE Bible software [link to www.e-sword.net]

You seem quite upset. Why is that? Everyone gets to believe whatever they want, so why get upset?

The Bible is not just about hell, FAR FROM IT, but hell is real.

Why argue with Scripture?

If I don't believe that hell exists, does that MAKE IT NOT EXIST?

Is it your position that we live forever, but hell is not real?

Does that mean that we "evolve" in multiple lives, forever?

If I make the "wrong" decision and believe the Bible in this life, don't I just get to come back and make the "right" decision next time?

If the Bible is REAL, then this is my only chance according to this

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Doesn't it make sense to trust the Bible in this life and if we are wrong, we can know better in out next life if you are correct?

I only seem upset to you because I don't begin every post with "Ha Ha Ha" ;)

(Plus, it gets pretty old always seeing normal people accused of being satan's minions or deceivers or somesuch for merely disagreeing with hardcore bible-humpers. Call me whatever you like, but leave regular people alone, k?)

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
 Quoting: Smith_and_Jones

Does it not matter to you that the original Greek word there is actually krisis and not "judgment"? Crisis became an Eglish word, so isn't kind of suspicious that King James' irrepproachable scholars couldn't have just written "but after this, crisis" like it originally said? Does the term "judgment" carry the same implications as "crisis"?
You know what a crisis, is right? People go through them all the time. Undergoing crisis often shows us what we're made of, brings us to the end of our rope, and helps us see what really matters. None of it is any fun, but it is a vital part of growing up.

<< The term crisis comes from the Greek noun krisis (choice, decision, judgment), deriving from the Greek verb krinein (to decide). The word makes an ancient debut in Greek historical writing via the legal, medical, and rhetorical terminology as the turning point in a decision, illness, or argument. >>

Your King James Bible is utterly lousy with the subjective religious slant of those who "translated" it. Instead of accurately relaying what was actually written, they told us what they thought God meant.

You do know that hirelings do not care about the sheep, right?

Also, learn about symbolism for Christ's sake.

Just for you...... I'm going to restrain myself from saying "Ha ha ha" but just know that I laughed when I read your comment about me starting each comment with a laugh. Sorry..... I just like to laugh.

"Does it not matter to you that the original Greek word there is actually krisis and not "judgment?"

Sure, I have the Strong's Hebrew and Greek numbers for each word in the King James Bible software that I'm using, but it also defines krisis #2920 as "judgement" along with "accusation, condemnation, damnation", so I find no problem with it's use. You say that it derives from "krinein (to decide)" and I agree. I see no problem with it's use in the Bible.

I think the King James Bible agrees with the words you brought up, so I fail to understand your concerns.

You do know that hirelings do not care about the sheep, right?

Who are you refering to when you say hirelings? If you mean the religious systems, then I agree that there are MANY false preachers, but the King James Bible is pure.

I trust that God can preserve His Word and He did preserve in the KJV. I do NOT trust the newer versions.

"Symbolisms?" The Bible defines itself, so I think I have a fair understanding of Biblical symbolism.

But you did not answer my original questions, so here they are again

No, it isn't. This is one of the main lies of Religion Inc., that King Jim was some kind of noble, upright man with the common peoples' spiritual growth in mind - it goes hand-in-hand with the claim that his book is the "inerrant Word of God". Can you explain why the good King's linguists translated the word aion, meaning "age", into "ever" 71 times and "world" (?) 38 times, and "age" only twice?! The same fucking word, changed at their whim to suggest completely different things. This is why we have so many christian-nutjobs convinced that there's an End of the World coming, instead of merely the end of an age.

But you did not answer my original questions, so here they are again

Why argue with Scripture?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

Lol. . .you never answered whether Jonah is in hell for ever. Your KJV says he is.

We're *commanded* to analyze scripture. To assess for ourselves whether the claims made by preachers or whoever are really in there. Do you have any idea how many different denominations and even cults there are who claim to believe that the King James Bible is "pure"?

The bible is an approximation of the scriptures, requiring a good deal of digging to grasp what God has for us. I guarantee that taking it at face value is the quickest way to end up believing a bunch of retarded absurdities that God never had in mind.

Are you not aware that Jeremiah 8:8 claims that the scribes have tainted "God's inerrant word" with untruth? The Hebrew word sheqer there ("vain") apparently means "lie". . .

If I don't believe that hell exists, does that MAKE IT NOT EXIST?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

The question is illogical - I can offer you the same thing: Just because I don't believe God is a sick, vindictive pyromaniac, does that MEAN HE ISN'T?

Hell is not scriptural. Sure they tossed that word in there dozens of times, but there's absolutely no basis for any afterlife of endless fire. Jesus came to save, not destroy. God uses metaphorical fire to refine and purify, not literal fire to torture and devour. If you have no concept of His ability to bring sinners to repentance, then maybe you never were one yourself, in which case I would submit that you're barking up the wrong tree entirely.

Is it your position that we live forever, but hell is not real?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

My position is that God is the Savior of all, and this truth will be evident "in due time", as Paul told Timothy. Humans are defective and need to repent and abandon the conduct of mere animals who only live to eat, mate, and dominate territory. We're called for something better, and God excels in teaching us each the hard lessons that we personally need to learn in order to come into agreement with His will.
Jesus said we'll each receive due for our deeds, which supports the eye-for-an-eye, tooth-for-a-tooth and burn-for-burn law of Exodus. There is no one-size-fits-all punishment of infinite overkill. We reap what we sow, and as I asked previously: wouldn't you have to burn someone *endlessly* here in this life to earn such a punishment in the afterlife? That's not even possible. Even Hitler doesn't deserve eternal damntion, as he didn't kill an infinite number of people, or torture any of them endlessly. He has a serious ugly reckoning to face, absolutely, but logically speaking, it cannot be infinite. Such a thing would not be Just, and the concept only indulges our corrupt human lust for vengeance.

Do you know what usury is? God forbids it.

Does that mean that we "evolve" in multiple lives, forever?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

No idea. Growth is a kind of evolution, yes? Outgrowing misconceptions, putting away childish things, etc.

If I make the "wrong" decision and believe the Bible in this life, don't I just get to come back and make the "right" decision next time?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

No idea. Whatever wrong decisions, actions, etc. we make here and now, God will address and remedy appropriately. That is the business He's in.

Doesn't it make sense to trust the Bible in this life and if we are wrong, we can know better in out next life if you are correct?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

It makes absolute sense to trust God, yes. His Word consists of Christ, not a book. The book can help, but we have to recognize that it's already been compromised. It fucking says so itself: "Beware the scribes", etc. Who do you think translated it?!

God is not some hardass monster who demands you play ball His way or suck inferno. I used to believe this, but no longer. He's a lot bigger and a lot better than most of us think. When we fail and rebel and defy, He deals with us properly like a Parent who isn't afraid to let his children learn the hard way, with intent that we become a little bit more like Him each day.

Hell in the Bible

The word “hell” is used 54 times in the Bible. But it is translated from several different words with various meanings, as indicated below:

In the Old Testament:

31 times from the Hebrew “Sheol,” which means
“the grave”

In the New Testament:

10 times from the Greek “Hades,” which means
“the grave” Not everlasting
12 times from the Greek “Gehenna,” which means
“a place of burning” Not everlasting
1 time from the Greek “Tartarus,” which means
“a place of darkness” (for angles) Not everlasting

Not one word about hell

Notice everybody gets in the Kingdom in the end. You don't get in till you go through the process of growing up and believing the Good news. That all will be saved in the end. Each in their own order. When we are born from above we are a new creation. Our whole mind set is a different creation. If man can change the mind now. Why is it difficult to believe we can become a new creation?

We have no original manuscripts. Yahoshus did not speak English. The KJV is a copy of a late Greek manuscript. We have far better and much older manuscripts now.
I read the bible in Konie Greek and Hebrew. It is different than English. If I were to read the bible in English the KJV would not be on my to read books.

Re: Jesus Warned Us That Hell is a Real Place and Torment is FOREVER for the Wicked

Something in Holy Scripture mentioned 54 times is worth paying very close attention to. Whatever you want to call it...

5. Do all Christians agree with you on the doctrine of hell?

Interesting questions, but I do not matter. What I think does not matter. What does matter is what God thinks.

The problem with your questions is that they focus on me rather than God. If I give you an answer today, that only shows you my level of knowledge about the Bible while telling you nothing about what God says.

In order for people to grow, we all need to change. If I provided honest answers to your questions today and then I learned more information that causes me to grow in my understanding of God, today's honest answers might be wrong after increasing my knowledge.

All knowledge is God based. Our purpose in life is to understand God better, not to think of ourselves as being "enlightened" without need of God.

Re: Jesus Warned Us That Hell is a Real Place and Torment is FOREVER for the Wicked
No one is JUSTIFIED or SANCTIFIED unless and until that walk the narrow way unto DEATH. There they are to SIT in the lowest room and wait for the one who bade them to the wedding comes (arrives) to them and says, friend, come up higher. Therefore one cannot claim they are JUSTIFIED or SANCTIFIED UNLESS AND UNTIL they have the testimony of REBIRTH which, by the way DOES BOTH.

1. Having picked up the cross and died the DEATH.

2. Knowing they were a hell bound sinner facing permanent death, and this knowing is NOT a mental knowing, it is far deeper than any mental activity. (That’s what the Holy Spirit does to you, judging you of sin, righteousness and judgment. (look up the word for judgment).

3. Sitting in the LOWEST ROOM (PIT OF DEATH) and waiting upon the Lord.

4. Having Jesus Christ come directly and personally to you and showing you what DIVINE AGAPE LOVE IS. It must be shown to you, revealed from on high to you because no person knows at all what it is in their natural carnal state. ( Read Pilgram’s Progress and the argument Faith had with Christian if you don’t believe it).

5. When Divine Love is shown to you (you have come to the LIGHT) AND THEN THE JUDGEMENT BEGINS.

6. DIVINE AGAPE IS THE STANDARD BY WHICH EVERY PERSON WILL BE JUDGED BY. You can either do it via the strait gate and narrow way or when you die (but then it is too late to be saved). If Divine Love is the standard, we must be adjusted to that standard). ONCE TO DIE THEN THE JUDGMENT applies to all. The strait gate and narrow way are ONCE TO DIE. The Judgement is the revelation of Divine Love and you are judged by it. No man, no woman, no one can stand up to it – all are guilty. It is at this judgment that Jesus steps forward to save you from. This is when He offers HIS ROBE OF COVERING TO YOU. . That is why it must be done while you’re alive here on Earth. Otherwise there is no salvation. It’s all in the Bible, over and over again. It is just that people do not want to see it, and they refuse it).

7. Once this love type has been shown, it must be accepted. The acceptance of God’s love is in fact true BIBLE repentance. (Godly sorrow leadeth to a repentance not to be repented off). You are repenting of your own loves and accepting His. This is what the Lord meant when He says “except to be agreed they cannot walk together” and when He says “I will show my COVENANT to mine elect”. How can anyone agree to something they know nothing about? This is why it MUST and HAS TO BE REVEALED TO YOU BY THE LORD HIMSELF.

8. He will speak to you and He will call you by name. He will first of all SHOW YOU HIS LOVE, and then ask you if you WIlL ACCEPT IT. (You will find this in John, “my sheep hear my voice and I call them by name) type of comments.

9. If you accept His offer, and OPEN YOUR DOOR, He will come in to you along with THE FATHER and they will take up their abode with you.

10. If this happen you are at that time JUSTIFIED and SANCTIFIED AND WILL LATER BY GLORIFIED.

Since you have quoted my previous comments which show people exactly what the King James Bible says about this topic, then it is clear that your disgreement is with God.

There is nothing that people can say that will over-ride what God says.

Isaiah
Isa 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Isa 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Isa 55:8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

FALSE PREACHING

Ladies and gentlemen...... did this poster preach the Creator God of the King James Bible to you or did he/she just preach his/herself?

While some people say and write things that appear to be Biblical, they are not. This person came to preach HIS/HERSELF rather than God.

Never accept any such material without supporting Biblical references and then check the verses yourself to see if it is true.

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Re: Jesus Warned Us That Hell is a Real Place and Torment is FOREVER for the Wicked
Who are you refering to when you say hirelings? If you mean the religious systems, then I agree that there are MANY false preachers, but the King James Bible is pure.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1454192

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1451732

I see that you are still angry. How do I know? Because of your "salty" language. There is no need to use that language while speaking about these things.

Concerning the King James Bible. The KJV Bible is not about King James, himself. He simply allowed scholars to produce the King James Bible without fear of death. Here is a link that starts out talking about the 6000 year old Earth, but about 2-3 minutes into the video, this man speaks about the history of the King James Bible. For some reason, the video will not play here, but it plays fine on Youtube [link to www.youtube.com]

Re: Jesus Warned Us That Hell is a Real Place and Torment is FOREVER for the Wicked
Wicked = religious believers

threadhi
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1100447

This is the truth. Who's the only ones Jesus ever got ugly with? Pharisees and money changers. He Himself said that hookers and tax collectors would enter the kingdom before the Pharisees would.

. . .Which leads to the eye-opening question: How is this? I thought whores and cheaters and so forth weren't going to reach the Kingdom ever?!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1451732

Notice everybody gets in the Kingdom in the end. You don't get in till you go through the process of growing up and believing the Good news. That all will be saved in the end. Each in their own order. When we are born from above we are a new creation. Our whole mind set is a different creation. If man can change the mind now. Why is it difficult to believe we can become a new creation?
 Quoting: nzreva

NO..... I do not notice that everybody gets in the Kingdom. Show us where the King James Bible says that everyone gets in because here is a verse that says otherwise

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

When a person denies Scripture, that is a sure sign that the person is not a TRUE Bible believer.
