The Lord wants us to help each other when we can by praying together for each other. It is an expression of love. You also aren't putting anyone between yourself and God when you ask others to pray for you. Likewise, when Catholics ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, or other saints, to pray for us, we are not putting them between us and God, we are only asking for their prayerful assistance. |
