| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1474512 07/19/2011 08:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey I was just caught up in the weirdest 3 weeks of my life. Quoting: Douglass FirHas anyone had or encountered this thru the net? Met someone, seemed nice. A nurse doing service work with the Salvation Army who said she was from Australia. Seemed harmless enough to chat with for awhile then when I told a friend about it he said to watch out because there were all these scams being run out of Ghana of the same nature. Now I don't know what to think except everything she/he/whoever did was right down the line with a scam I found at a website for internet scams. Just don't want anyone to get screwed in one of these. Any info at all would be appreciated. watch out for seuntaylor22@yahoo.com and d.debby05@hotmail.com they are running a nigerian romance scam I dident give them nothing but others probly are hope I can help with this information |

Quoting: Douglass FirAll of the dating websites is full of Nigerian romance scammers too. They will put a photo of a handsome white guy from the states but they are really black nigerians trying to get money. [link to www.datingnmore.com] You are so right! I knew this already from getting weird emails then a friend of mine told me that she has a boyfriend that she "met" on facebook. She gave me his name and asked me to check-out his FB page. I looked at it and it had a pic of him a white guy..... in military clothing.... with a buzz cut. The first thing I noticed was all of his friends were foreign women. I told my friend that I bet he is a Nigerian with a fake photo. Guess what...after I told her..he asked her for money. She refused and he deleted her! These guys are on ALL social net places trying to find lonely women to scam! As proud children of science and reason, we have made ourselves the orphans of wisdom..... |

| Sam User ID: 31955581 01/11/2013 06:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was almost scammed. Just came out of a painful marriage n moved out of stated to start over. Met this gorgeous blackguy on badoo chat site. His profile says he's from Rochester New york. We hit it off from the beginning and he was so nice to me, calling me baby all the time then he wanted to start meeting on yahoo mesenge talkbx. He happened to abruptly left for New Zealand on a 3 week business trip. So that we had no telephone contact but when I insisted only he could call me. We talked and talked til he asked for my address coz he wanted to send me a package. Saying how he wanna spoil me. First delivery was dominos pizza n chicken and the next day. He said he was happy that I liked it and thrres more to come. Long story short, 1 day I happend to hav mentioned my arrears in a bank and he agreed to cover it gor me since he lived me and wanted to do so much for me. he wanted to join our accounts so that he could send me money anytime. Then he asked me to do him a huge favor, mind u. I just moved to another state and its way in the bushes. I did a live-in job so I went out of my way for some1 to relieve me in order to withdraw the money and send it to this lady in rochester who he claims to b buying a car from and was doing a downpayment. Luckily western union stopped it and the bank called me asking me a bunch of questions then concluding it was fraud. I felt so stupid cos my gutt has bn telling me from the beginning but when ur searching for love bad. U'll fall for everything. Beware of Matt Mander on badoo ladies.he has same name for yahoo n all. Cant believe I almost got caught in a scam. Even tho I saw all the warning signs I still disgaraed them juto feel loved again |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 40132041 05/19/2013 07:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thank you very much to the woman who posted her encounter with MATT MANDER. I do wanna say he almost got me but seriously the picture he posts is goergeous. After only a few short conversations he started to imply that I was the woman for him. His story to me was that he moved from Rochester b/c he lost his spouse three years ago and is now left with a 4 year old daughter, Katie, to raise on his own. He told me he wanted to make me Katie's mom and his heartbeat. Finding all this a bit much, I googled his name and wa-la, I found this site along with his image. Even as I type this he's been trying to contact me on Badoo all day but I have been ignoring everyone and it's getting to him(LOL) I have even reported him to the website as well. It was funny when his message stated that he would be travelling for a few weeks due to work purposes, he's a construction engineer. I laughed b/c the woman from here had already warn me. Thanks again and I hope we woman continue to stick together. No more searching for love, it will come when we least expect it.. MATT MANDER...I beat you at your own game!!!! |
| Anonymous User ID: 39791588 05/19/2013 10:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I guess i'm alittle embarrassed to admit this but i did get taken by not one but two of those scams over the past 5 years! This began while i was an OTR truck driver and feeling kinda lonely. The first one claimed to be a nurse who left the US to claim a property she supposedly inherited but was unable to and so got stranded. The second one was supposedly a Brit counselor for an orphange who wanted to move to the USA. I lost thousands believing i was helping a couple girls who claimed to be starving and in dire straits before (and after) it became news that they were scams coming from Nigeria. They still stick to their stories and occasionally try to talk to me by e-mail although now i mostly ignore them. (bummed) Advice to all: Don't send any money. I ignored that advice and got burned. (live and learn). |
