Why do I keep seeing orbs and flashes of light in my peripheral vision ?

I see the orbs, too. I can look across any room in the house and see them shooting around.
One night I was shutting down my computer and looked up for some reason and about 2 feet away was an orb about the size of a golf ball. Just bright white and hovering there and then it took off and left a tail like a comet and disappeared.
I also see the white flashes peripherally.
Sometimes it looks like objects are vibrating,too.
Someone said to remember the thought you were having when you see these things--I also have the 11:11 thing--but I'm rarely thinking of anything more significant than laundry, grocery shopping, work or what's happening in the moment when it occurs.
I don't know what it means either.
