Big Bang theory teaches that the universe and all the gazillions stars and matter created itself out of absolutely nothing. Do people really believe this? How can everything create itself out of nothing. If you could produce an apple out of absolutely nothing without any help at all I would gladly accept this theory.

The Big Bang theory is one of the dumbest theories I've ever seen. Atheists really believe that the universe somehow created itself out of absolutely nothing, out of emptiness. But even atheists admit that time, space and matter must have been created at the exact same moment. Without space, where are you going to put matter? Without time, WHEN are you going to put matter? Time, space and matter must have been created at the exact same time. The Big Bang theory does not explain this. Atheists just believe it happened. They BELIEVE, it's a religion.

Explain your position using logic.

Not true if there are multiple universes. Perhaps some of which were not created in an emanation, and are eternal.

God created the big bang.

God is real and God was responsible for the big bang .He "sneezed" and that caused the big bang to occured, which made the universe as it is to this day.

Surely if there is a god, logic flies out the window. Why do think we cant see him or even understand it? Logic is for us little peabrains.

Well, if one subscribes to the many worlds interpretation of quantum physics, it could be the case that God resides outside of the 4 dimensional spacetime that gave rise to this iteration of reality. Or it could be the case that God resides outside of the 6 dimensional fractal of all possibilities of existence eminating from the initial conditions of the big bang. Or it could be the case that God resides outside of the 10 dimensional superfractal of all possibilities for this universe, plus any other universes that arose with different laws of physics.

You can't really logic God though, seeing as the realm of metaphysics can't really give a real answer.

I'm not going to pretend to KNOW what the truth is, just that there is a truth.

Linear thinking is a grand mistake.

I do not know if you agreed or disagreed with my position or not, but this statement is one of the few true assertions that should be promulgated to the masses.

Lets think, what cause the big bang?

The matter was transformed from the cooling of the near infinite energy after the big bang. It was not at the same moment, hence all of the evil scientists at colliders around the world. Get your story straight and wake up!

And what would that accomplish?

Nothing.

We are our own big bang, when cern wipes us out we will be slapped into another dimension and start over. Then that civilization will move forward and end up like we are. The "world" and reality in general only goes up until 2011-2012ish and then resets. Its up to us and others to break the chain, thats the grand scheme and the jenga piece no one wants to pull.

The current model of cosmology says that 13.75 ± 0.11 billion years ago the whole universe was the size of a citrus fruit and incredibly hot and dense.

What happened before that point in time, during the Planck epoch, is unknown and the subject of much speculation.

Scientists, real scientists, not the evil monsters confabulated by creationists, are perfectly ok with saying We don't know that (yet) if there is insufficient data.
Actually it is paramount to only base conclusions on hard facts and solid reasoning.


Apparently creationists believe that scientists believe that.
Or maybe they are lying again.
Why fight the facts if you can concoct a nice flammable strawman?

The energy content of the universe (positive energy + negative energy) seems to be pretty close to zero.

No. Some people do.

Atheists in general speculate and debate these things just as much as the next knowledgeable person.
The not so knowledgeable atheists don't really care.
Whether or not the origin of the universe is ever determined has nothing to do with atheism as such.
Atheism is determined by not believing in gods.
Requiring atheists to explain the origin of the universe is a false dichotomy and a shifting of the burden of proof.
It is up to those that claim that there are gods, or a god, to provide evidence for their claim.

It is the best currently available explanation for how the universe could look like it does.

Since this presumption in no way shape or form has any practical implications whatsoever it is not a believe.
People act on their believes.


Believe is for believers.
Scientists just rather KNOW stuff.

Atheists just don't believe, and many don't care how this place came about.
They just want to enjoy its existence.

hey it may lead to no where because the one side can't disprove God in the first place. I have nothing to lose from that arguement as to oppose a none believer and his so call basis arguements claiming there is no God. Lets do this right here right now, what cause the big bang go bang!
