To To or Too
The Educational system is obviously failing when a large number of the people who post on this site don't know the difference between to and too.

This is how it is:

"Too" can be used in 2 ways:
to mean "excessively" e.g. too far, too expensive
to mean "also" or "as well" e.g. Will you be skating too?

"To" is used in 2 ways:
to show direction e.g. He passed the ball to his brother
as part of a verb e.g. He wanted to read the new Harry Potter book.

eg. He/she went "to" the Peace Rally, which turned violent.

His/Her friend beat the shit out of someone that used the word "to" instead of "too" on a poster.

He/She got all excited and wanted to beat the shit out of someone too.

He/She said "this is "too" much, lets blow.

He/She lit a joint and His/Her friend said that was-

"too much"
"too way out"
"too heavy"
"too fuckin insane"

After the Doobie they went "to" the shop "to" buy munchies!

He/She ate way "too" much and had to go "to" the toilet and vomit.

All in all it was a pretty good day but with-
"too" much violence
"too" many drugs
and "too" much food.

Next time they should go "to" English class instead.

Got it?

hahah See how easy spelling mistakes and errors can happen OP. So ease up on people who spell words wrong on a forum. It's the message that matters.

You get a pass! Because at least you're (you are) here giving us a perspective outside the US bubble.

On the other hand, as much as I try to ensure that I maintain some level of intellectual capacity and literacy, I still tend to rush through what I am typing, make mistakes and then hit the "Post" button, without proof-reading.

I find my own mistakes, run-on sentences, and incomplete thoughts, but AC's don't have the ability to edit.

Yeah well, we can just call them spelling nazies and hit the back button.
I'm sure I am better at physics than ( then? :) ) them.

They should learn to let go. Jut let it go. It will set them free. No more need to control letters and put them in the 'right order'.
