I agree, dreams as these are only a tell for your own mind. It tells of fear of reliance on the Lord. This fear has you trying to be a saviour and drowning in your own fear. You cannot save anyone, you can only be a beacon for others.

Ill give it a crack though. Indeed it is the end times and you were IN the church but left. Your friend was seeking rest and solace. Outside the church great calamity swallows the world yet the church itself stayed dry in your dream. Stay in the body of Christ, do not be drawn from it into the world and worry not of the rising tides....

It means some thing big is coming , you better be prepared.

I've had interesting dreams, nothing apocalyptic, but the dreams I've had seem to indicate of a future time. I've had UFO dreams, about as many I can count on one hand but these are of a UFO landing (small ship, maybe the size of a city bus, the pilot human in appearance. (one clear dream) and multiple UFOs entering and exiting our atmosphere without attacking (About 3 separate dreams I can remember)

Other future events, the common themes are higher sea or water levels, maybe extreme tidal events, more higher altitude living... I had a very visible dream of walking along an unusual town built apparently on top of the Rocky mountain ranges, or in-between the peaks. The roads, sidewalks, buildings were unusual and appeared to be mostly painted white and constructed entirely of wood planking.

It sounds like some aspect of your spiritual life is troubling you. Water often represents your emotional state in the dream state, and the fact that it is turbulent/violent/in a state of unrest may reflect your current feelings. Houses/structures, etc are often symbols of your own person...the fact that the building in question is a church relates it very closely to your faith in general. The water symbolizes the Word of God and His glory. You were in a church that is not covered in the Water like it should be just as you are in real life. Jesus is calling to you to come out of that and really get to know Him. You see the water in the distance and are afraid of it, it's God's power, His Word. You know it can kill you as it cuts through and reveals your true heart like a two edged sword. So you and those you keep company with intend to run from it. Notice the water comes from outside as God is doing miracles and pouring His water over the city and calling those who will hear to follow him. Remember the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord like the waters cover the sea. You stop and have trouble with your shoes, it is symbolic of your possessions that you cling to. You think of things first and not His kingdom, He wants you to seek Him first and give no regard for material things. If you have extra of anything give it to one who does not as Jesus says. You tell everyone it is the end times and no one listens, you are telling those around your church who will not listen and are in a fantasy world. You are called to tell them to repent and come to Jesus, your church needs a back to Jesus movement, following what Jesus is saying in the New Testament, love your neighbor as yourself and act like it! Do not judge, etc. You decide to 'jump' into His word and swim in it which is life. A friend follows your example. The end of the dream which you kept repeating throughout the night is a question Jesus poses to you. Will you do His will? Will you swim in His Word or will you falter and the truth of His Word will crush your hypocrisy? It is a choice. God is calling you, He loves you, He wants you to truly follow Him in love in these times and live through Him alone. The road is narrow, few will find it-a church does not make you saved, will you be one of them?

I want to thank you for praying about this dream. The interpretation you gave me hits so close to home its not even funny. I am going to take a long look at myself and my faith and fix what I have messed up. I am proclaiming a new and clean life right here infront of the world. I read your dream. This really is not an interpretation...

I would say, just keep following Jesus Christ. The Way may

seem impossible at times but He is the only Salvation.

Prepare for rough waters ahead but know that He will guide

you and keep you to the end.

do you live along the east coast, florida, the mississippi valley(new madrid) or california and 4 corners area????

its not the end times per se yet.

the seals hafe yet to be open, but, i do believe the events that may be developing will and are made to seem as if they are indeed the end times.

the problem is, we are told the world would be perplexed, suggesting confusion and perhaps chaos, we are told the mens hearts would fail them for fear of that which was coming upon the earth.

there may be nothing to the elenin hype, lets pray it is so, but theres to many coincidences.

and theres to many things happening in secret.

many will try to convince you that being away and keeping an eye on whats going on in the universe is astrology and of the devil, but we was also told to look up.

and if you do, i guarantee you will see stars at night.

i would suggest you atleast get up to speed as to whats going on up there and the coincidences that happen here on earth. the alignments coincide with the earth quakes.

another coincidence, if you count the days between chile, nz, japan and the next alignment, you will see they are all 188 days apart from each other..........

and apparently, whatever it really is, its at least big enough to have 4 satelites coming with it as well.

Comment: There are many "religions" currently polluting the planet. There is one for every IQ level, including "entry level". All of the fundamentalist versions of the various religions are expressly designed for that "entry level". Develop an IQ, somehow, and get a clue.

Water in a dream signifies emotions. When the wave crashes down on you, you are drowning in your own emotions, not moving on, hence why you remain in the same spot over and over again.

Not all dreams signify a prophecy that are of Biblical proportions, by asking for only Biblical references, you are limiting that dream of yours and may never receive the true answer if you insist that only Biblical references should be made.

Where is your city in this vision? It is probably really a vision ...like an actual future event.. So where is it? Allot of things mean something in a vision.. We as humans will be caught up in the events of the revelation event sequence..your vision sounds like that..

and what I'm about to say isn't really an interpretation,
but I couldn't help but wonder if when you woke up you had to pee?

Seriously,
not being able to get your shoes on I would think means you aren't prepared/aren't doing what you should be doing...
bathrooms are places where we cleanse ourselves--your friend was in there doing that and you are outside waiting...

Maybe walk the walk....get into your Bible, pray more, etc. This may be a warning dream that in the end you will "go under" perhaps be deceived because you aren't preparing.

I agree with this persons assessment. The shoes have to do with preparation, the fact that you did not have them or they were missing means that you (and many others) are going to be unprepared for the trouble ahead.

The only thing that is going to save you is to leave the church. There is a chance that the church is the target of this judgment. Overflowing water is a picture of judgment all related to the biblical flood.

"As it was in the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be".

The only way to survive is to allow the judgment to take away who it will take away and trust God for the remainder
