Why in the lord's name would Aldrin lend his support, to the point of appear himself, to a movie that is supposedly a mere entertainment for the brain dead masses and with a cheesy plot based on cooky conspiracy theories???

Yeah no you're right it's much more likely that it's part of a vast conspiracy to show us aliens living on the moon while not actually telling us they exist for some reason or other. That makes much more sense than an old man being offered a walk-on part in a Hollywood movie and saying yes for the hell of it.
