Phoenix dust storm from yesterday (amazing photos)

ok, I didn't see the other thread on this, sorry folks.

I lived in Phoenix a few years ago (Georgia native, was completely new to the desert) and a huge dust storm while I was driving my roommate to work. Not sure how tall it was but we saw it coming 5+ minutes before it hit hit us. And it was moving fast. My kind was blown, had the window cracked and felt like I was blinded. Got home later that day and talked to my neighbor about it and he said they were normal. Something about a storm system that didn't have the power to make it over the mountains so the bottom dropped out and it slid across the valley.

omgosh we saw the video of the dust wall crawling over a city.
it was UN REAL!
my husband said it looks like the nothingness

these kind of storms are COMMON?
is that right?
they look horrifying.
give me a hurricane anyday.

Common in deserts all across the globe. Doomards are just desperate for attention and are fighting for a pin.
