Share your thoughts on how you think society should work

I believe we all have a conscious soul which guides us through our daily lives and motivates every action, the desire to attain wisdom and intelligence, but at the same time I feel like our society is too corrupted by television and work and the media to really enjoy our time on this earth. I truly believe there is something darker behind the curtain that the crooked politicians, bankers, dont want us to know about. Perhaps that we were created by intelligent beings from another galaxy? Perhaps that we must obey authority in order to get a slice of the pie. But I feel like in music and individualism, relationships, and harmony with nature there is so much more enjoyment than this consumeristic, materialistic system. Religion itself I feel gives people a sense of self worth. For example, to say you're a christian, people will instantly find trust in you who are christians as well but at the same time people are imperfect so who can you really trust? there are so many religions to pick from. Taoism, Daoism, Buddhism, all the chinese religions I find to be very interesting because they have so much harmony with just nature and believe in being peaceful people. However, America, or rather the city I live in Memphis, is a cold vicious place.
