Well. The Minnesota State government is shut down. I didn't think about that when I bought a car 3 days ago.

SO. When I bought the car there was NO way for me to register the car. Also my insurance requires that I have a registration number along with the VIN number to insure the car.

The dealership did let me leave the lot with it. After all. I bought it and it is my property.

So I'm driving it down the street and it has the dealer logo in place of the license plate. The cop pulled me over and gave me a citation for not having insurance. Also, last night that same dealership had a break in where a vehicle matching mine was stolen.

When he realized that the car was still in the dealers name he arrested me for possession of a stolen vehicle even though I just bought it in Cash for 18k. He said NOBODY PAYS CASH for cars so my story is horseshit.

So I spent 3 hours in jail today.

So....yeah. Just venting.

He's right. You could sue man. I'm a Libertarian who does civil disobedience and knows my rights, that's the one thing you can scare cops with. I'll sue your ass.

False arrest, False Imprisonment, Kid-Napping, and Grand Larceny or Grand Theft Auto from the Arresting Officer possible. People do pay cash for cars too, by the way. If your story is true you would be one of them. Living proof.

The car dearlership took your 18k and staged the Stolen call and called in a fake report to the cops.

If the cops do not believe you then you know what you have to do...

You have to go Kneecap the guy you gave the Cash to.

I paid cash for my car... And everything else I buy... But they hate that, and like to associate it with criminal activity, as if you are trying not to leave a paper trail to cover your crimes or some bullshit... When in reality they just want you to conform to a system that they can easily monitor and control. ...

But yeah, fuck them.. And do exactly as was suggested.. Sue them!

So you didn't have any kind of receipt in your car? Not even an application for transfer of the title, nothing????
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

When I bought my car I had no tags (just dealer logo) and a temporary registration for a month. Its pretty common to see cars with no tags here though

Moral of this story, buy cars from the 'nice' part of town or a real dealership.

Also, he bought it 3 days ago? On the 4th of July? He surely didn't "buy" it on the 3rd of July.

Minnesota Blue Laws: The sale of alcohol in liquor stores is prohibited state-wide on Sundays. a bill has been proposed in the state legislature to end the prohibition on Sunday liquor sales.

Car dealerships are not allowed to be open for sales on Sunday.
