I like the areas just south of Fayetteville, very pretty
Lots of rolling hills, perfect for growing veggies. Also look at the little town of West Fork. Living inside of Fayetteville (south Fay) would be nice. What a great city! Great weather too

How Arizona has remained such a secret is beyond me.

Here in Scottsdale, I sit at roughly 3000 feet elevation, well above where the "experts" have said to be.

AZ is part of that chunk of land that does not have major Earthquakes.

Only 70 minutes away are Flagstaff and White Mountains as well.

The heat sucks, but would rather deal with that than massive quakes and tsunamis.

you betcha ! I currently live in CO, along the corridor between Denver & Boulder....the one place NOT to be. Dammit. My daughters are over 21 & think I'm nuts...gotta agree with them sometimes...but I've got to get a safe place for them when it's time....I just hope they finally listen.

It sounds wonderful ! I'll look it up and see what I can find out. A lake sounds great too ! I've got a Geman Short hair pointer who loves to swim. About 40 years ago, I use to scuba dive. It sounds like living by a lake may give me the chance to atleast snorkle again. (water is to cold here). I'm an early riser, love to plant flowers, veggies, fruit trees, read books, and etc. I'd probably be looking for a pt job, just to keep a schedule. Arkansas looks like such a beautiful state, I can't wait to see it !

For crying out loud - don't you know that there are two places military are retiring - Ozarks and Denver.

You are in one of the safest places on Earth in Co.

BULL SHOALS IS A VERY CLEAN CLEAR LAKE.THE PLACE I WAS TALKING IS VERY SAFE PEACEFUL, AND ONLY 1 HOUR FROM BRANSON.A LOT OF PEOPLE LIVE THERE AND EVEN WORK IN BRANSON.THE HOMES, AND LAND IS A HECK OF A LOT CHEAPER ALSO.I DON'T CARE FOR A LOT OF TRAFFIC, NOISE, POLUTION, AND CRIME.THATS WHY I LOVE THIS PLACE.PEOPLE ARE NICE HERE.IT'S YOUR CHOICE OF COURSE BUT I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD MENTION IT.IT'S NICE WHEN THE LAKE ISN'T FULL OF BOATS LIKE SOME.

That's just it....Denver WILL be overrun by military and I don't think it's for the benefit of the citizens of COLO! We've got more holier-than-thou politicians and military the way it is !! Add to that the "entitled" elite....and well, you've got the making of a hell-hole. There are still good people here, but mostly the rich and wanna-be rich. I'm tired of it. I'd rather be around "real" people....guess that's what I'm looking for.
