Local meteorological observatory of Kagoshima warns pyroclastic flow and ash deposits. After 4.8 deep earthquake thursday 7.7.2011 [link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Sakurajima volcanos errupts and it was 450th erruption in this year. Quoting: so-gui-li Problem is that erruption not ended than it normally does. Sakurajima pushing now magma up and activity is still rising. Here is really good cam to most active crater [link to webcam-svo2.pr.kyoto-u.ac.jp] And this volcano is VEI 7-8 supervolcano it is main crater in Aira-caldera Damn, the Japanese can't catch a break. I keep thinking of Edgar Cayce's prophecy of how when the earth changes are underway, Japan will go into the sea. Hope he was wrong... |

Let see how much activity will rise. I think they give that warning because their magma canals and barriers are going down because there have been so much big activity lately. |

Local meteorological observatory of Kagoshima warns pyroclastic flow and ash deposits. I live 30 miles away from Sakurajima. Basically I live in the valley between that volcano and Shinmoedake (Kirishima) which had a massive eruption exactly one year ago (its first eruption in 50 years). We here Sakurajima erupting all the time. Sometimes the boom is loud enough to shake the house. When I first arrived in Japan 13 years ago Sakurajima was very active but then entered a lull for a decade. Things have been heating up for the mountain these last 2 years. |

Local meteorological observatory of Kagoshima warns pyroclastic flow and ash deposits. Now days wholw kyshu volcano line (from kikai to aso-san) have been lately really active. I hope there dont happen any big eruptions. There is many supervolcano in this line: Aira and Kikai caldera and aso-san wich one is maybe biggest one. |

If you calculated all eruption after year 1955 when this started. What we get? Supereruption. Whit out end. |
