What the Great Whore of Revelation? "Come out of her my children" "I sit as queen and I shall never mourn"


I'm not catholic bashing nor think all catholic's are going to hell, but it's the system that is evil.

"He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time."

They're the only entity on the planet that fits the bill.

"They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for a little while."

Next verse:

"The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction."

Papal Rome is the king that once was, now is not, from John's point of view, but will eventually take the realm again belonging to one of the 7 previous kingdoms. I'm sorry, but no other entity fits the bill. Egypt, Media/Persia, Greece, Babylon no all of these have gone by the way side and will not rise up and rule again. Papal Rome however did lose power for a short period, but the "deadly wound has healed"
