The planes typically fly 3 per formation (occassionally only 2), follow each other in line, fly low and slow, you can't hear them, and they all have a green, white, and red light on the bottom. They come out of the west, fly toward the southend of Terre Haute, turn around, and fly back north. They fly straight over our house every night. We asked several other people and they've seen them too. We called Hulman Airport and the officials there told us the planes are military crafts and they're 'threading' the sky to make it rain, but the manuevers are classified, and they can't releaase any other information. We called WTHI News and the news center insists they haven't had any other calls about the planes and they haven't noticed them themselves. Last week a low flying 747 landed at Hulman Airport and we've since found out the plane was a military medical craft. Hulman Airport officials said the 747 is using the runway for practice landings in uncongested areas. Uncongested areas? What possible reason does the military have to 'practice uncongested landings' in a town like Terre Haute? This is all too weird. If the military is threading 'seeding' the clouds, then where the hell is the rain? Is that what's causing the excessive heat and humidity? What other cities and states are they 'seeding'? If anyone knows why Terre Haute suddenly needs all the military crafts and activity, please feel free to comment on it. If anyone knows why the media here in Terre Haute has failed to report it, please feel free to comment on it. I find it hard to believe the news stations didn't notice a huge 747 landing in our city or military aircrafts hovering over and circling our city. |

Quoting: Not Usually Anonymous 1157811Two seperate days this week a trucking company made deliveries to a remote site just outside of Terre Haute, IN. The materials being delivered were steel grip span/platform material. Upon arriving at the delivery address, they were greeted by military personnel with guns. After being cleared they entered the fenced in site. They were unloaded by the military personnel. The driver(s) stated that the site looked like a mini-city of job site trailers. Only these trailers had no windows, one door each, and looked to be made of steel. They were raised up on metal (steel) legs. There were 6 wheeled military personnel transport trucks all over the place. Driver assumed that the platform material would be used to connect the trailers. What is going on? Terre Houte is not a common name, and it triggered a memory of some story from a few years ago. Sure enough... This is from 2007; [link to tribstar.com] TERRE HAUTE — An eight-day military training exercise in which the state coordinates with local emergency response officials will begin Thursday and use Terre Haute International Airport-Hulman Field as a forward operating base. That means the airport will initially harbor about 1,500 personnel out of an estimated 3,000 people who will participate in one of the nation’s largest training exercises for a simulated nuclear explosion. In this simulation, a 10-kiloton nuclear device explodes in Indianapolis. The training exercise is called “Vigilant Guard,” one part of a nationwide exercise called Ardent Sentry that will test the national response plan, said Lt. Col. John R. Newman of the 181st Fighter Wing. |
