Yes, in a dream. It saved my life and the lives of my four children.
Totally unrelated to the dream I was having - I heard my best friend calling my name and it woke me up. The gas heater had run low on gas and the fire had gone out but the remaining small amount of gas was pouring into the house. It smelled really bad and I ran to the heater and turned off the gas feed in tap! Scary stuff.

I had painted my daughter's bedroom one day and I told her we had to leave all the doors open all night to air it out so she wouldn't breath the fumes all night. In the middle of the night I hear the door bell ringing like crazy, over and over. It woke me up. No one was at the door, but I noticed my daughters doors were all shut. So I threw them open to air the room out. She must have forgotten and closed the doors.
