It has happened to me tonnes of times. It freaks me out every time. There is never anyone there but I hear it plain as day. My wife as even heard it and it has freaked her out. It is not while I'm half asleep like a previous poster tried to explain it away as. We have been in an empty park in the middle of the day and it has happened. I thought it was all in my head but now that my wife as heard it too a few times, we are both trying to figure out what it is. She said she has never heard her name called yet.
There has got to be something to it. I thought it had something to do with my military service and some kind of electronic harassment but I am tossing that theory.

The guy that recorded it needs to get back on here and help us out.

I've recorded them talking also. I just use a cheap microphone
connected to the computer and record, when I go back and analyze the recording, there's almost always something.. Sometimes you get lucky and get them having a conversation, but it's usually just a word or phrase randomly.

Here's one that I caught that sounds like 2 or 3 of them talking.

Yes, once. It was the evening of the day my husband died (quite unexpectedly, about 8:30 in the morning). I was out in the yard tending to the animals, and I heard HIM call my name, with the same inflection he'd have used if he were in the house and I were out in the yard and perhaps there was a phone call or if he had a question. I heard it so clearly, just once, have never heard or seen anything since. It was so surreal, his passing so quickly, that for several days I was half-expecting him to walk through the front door with a big grin on his face.

It will be 8 years on July 17.

And I still miss him terribly.

Not much more to elaborate on as far as the voice is concerned.

The house was full of spooks though. You'd set something down, turn around, then it'd be across the room on another shelf.
My wife saw a little boy about 5, wearing old-fashioned clothes sitting on a rock wall outside at 1 am (my great-grandma lost several children, one of which was a 5 yr old boy named johnny. I've seen his picture and he was wearing old 40's style kids clothes). She was pissing and just happened to look out a tiny crack in the blinds and the boy was 30 feet outside on the rock wall ALREADY looking at her- even though the blinds were closed and she was just randomly gazing through a tiny crack.

Another time she heard kids voices giggling and their footsteps runnin around her in the dark (i was away that night). She said they ran close to where she was layin in bed, then got silent..........then a kids voice next to her face said, "watcha doin?"

The night my first child was born, the spooks had a party. My sister was there with her boyfriend and they were layin in the dark listening to women chattering in the kitchen while they cooked (pans clanging). They heard boots walk past them over and over on a hardwood floor (when we moved in we laid carpet OVER the hardwood floors). They heard doors open then shut (while the doors themselves never moved). Then exactly when my daughter was born, they both said the audible commotion came to a climax, then a robed- but faint glimmering figure appeared, and it stretched it's arms out and as the figure dissipated, the noises grew fainter and fainter and sounded like they were being pulled away into the distance.

My great-aunt lived 50 yards or so away, and when we would be gone for a weekend, she'd see the kitchen light come on at like 5am, and see a figure moving through the window- like it was cooking (even though i would cut the breakers before we left).

The only other neighbor we had was an old couple that refinished furniture down the hill about 40 yards or so away. They'd hire an old black man that told me he wouldn't even look up the hill towards our house. When i asked him why he said that he's seen an old lady wearing a blue jacket and scarf collecting kindling around the house (my great grandma wore that same outfit all the time and constantly collected kindling for her woodstove- but she'd been dead 10 years).

The final testimony actually came from a totally unbiased source though.
The house was demolished to make room for a medical clinic. My cousin took his son there for a visit, and while there asked the receptionist if they ever hear any weird noises.
He said she got pale and asked how he knew. He told her about the old house and how it used to sit exactly where their office now was. The lady told him that all of the workers there hate to be the one to lock-up, because as the sun starts setting, they hear boots on wood floors (it's new commercial carpet), coughing and hacking, kids playing, and women chattering.

No BS. All true and i lived it.

wow! thanx...my friend and i one winter night heard diabolical laughter in the cemetary as we walked through, the sound blasted us right in uur faces! it was definetly evil,almost like a werewolf!oh how i wish i had a recording of it! it would scare the SH@t outta anyone!

For me this happens when I'm in crowds, but it may actually be coincidence or similar sounding words.

I have wakened to this "voice" from a deep sleep many times in my life. But could never figure out why or from whom it was coming from.Especially since no one was around when I heard it. However,it actually saved my life on one occasion. I had taken my insulin without taking my glucose level once and end up falling asleep shortly afterwards without eating. The "voice" screamed my name,really loud in my ear.I woke up thinkin someone was calling for me and said, 'Yea?'. No one was there at all. However,I felt kinda sick after the initial rush from the scare. I took my glucose level and it was 38. IF I had continued sleeping,I would have died in my sleep. SOOOO, go figure.I have no idea why this happens to me. But I am more than thankful it did on that particular day.:P

No, to me it sounds like my live daughter. Always sounds like she's in trouble ( it's a terrified daddy) I come running but she's sound asleep. She doesn't talk in her sleep.

When my name get's called, it's always my childhood name (my middle name, the last time I went by that name was the 5th grade)

Yes I have, it is always alittle creepy when it happens.

yes, but most of the time it sounds like my Mother calling me and she is passed on. But I will be doing something and here her call my name.

I get it sometimes when i have my head phonesin listening to music i take them out look behind me n nothin n nirmally dus it 2 or 3 times thn i start finkin its jst cos im tryong t hear it thn n it stops.

Yep. Heard it all through my childhood. Was always the voice of my mother calling my name out from behind me, but usually happened when she wasn't around or no where near me. The voice was usually really loud and vivid. But nowadays I don't hear anything anymore.

Yes , heard my name called only once in my life.. had the vaccum running doing chores when a female voice called my name... was shocked to hear it because there was no one else in the house but did look around to see who was there. It was very clear in my right ear only and the female voice had a distinct accent .

This was durning my active times of being taken or should say had visits from the little greys ...many years ago ... and gotta tell ya .. I really believe all this time it was one of them calling me .

Here's a funny one. I pulled a electronic gizmo out of a stuffed cat, it ran on batteries and sounded just like a cat shrieking. I went to the pet store with my buddy, and hit the button on it in my pocket. This couple was nearby, and the lady kept telling her hubby she was hearing a mad cat. Anyway, we went down the street to a different store, and the same couple came in. I hit the button again, and she was freaking out and saying she heard that same cat again and it must have followed them into the store...ha...

my son has we moved into this apt community back in jun 2010 and he always goes to my room and goes yeah mommy? i told him i didnt call him and 20 minutes later he did it again and another 30 minutes later.
so we moved to a different unit but same community...it happened occassionally - but now my daughter does it too.
luckily it stopped the beginning of 2011

I was brief when posting the first. This was at a time when I was at a low in life, orphaned and almost totally losing myself as a child, dying within. I started crying and I never did that, I was almost without emotion then. All I can say, is the voice carried with it so much love, it gave me something to hold onto, it was angelic or such, still has power when I remember and that was way back in about 1950.

Once that I remember off hand.

I was dreaming. I was laying on the ground and there were bodies all around me, most were dead, but some were badly wounded. There were two men standing just a bit a way from me, they were dressed as Roman soldiers and they both had spears.

They were talking to each other and laughing, like they were joking with each other. While they were talking they were stabbing the wounded with their spears.

I laid on the ground and watched them, I couldn't move. One stood over me and raised his spear and before he brought it down, someone called my name. It sounded like it was in my ear. I woke up before I was stabbed.

Nobody was in the room, don't know who it was.

it happened to me when I was 14 and standing in a church courtyard by myself at night.... freaked me out.
