Yes, the mantis aliens are especially known as the nice ones, extremely benevolent. Although I have heard of a different insect-looking race that wasn't as nice (or at least more neutral), but these were more like grasshoppers as described by the abductee.

I have to agree with you here. I think the insectoids are not to be feared. Humans can be (and usually are) very ignorant with things they aren't accustomed to seeing. I'm sometimes embarassed to be human -- it's almost like being in the same family as a backwoods, drunk redneck.... It's time we grow up, fast. It is SO overdue.
