Not because he has better vocals though... because technically I think Bruce has better vocals but Paul sang with more emotion for me. Huge Iron Maiden fan of both singers though! My most seen concerts were Iron Maiden with Bruce. |

They set the standard for wailing lyrics produced by a Magic 8 Ball, while wearing pants four sizes too small... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1364022 United States 07/11/2011 11:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | damn it man.... I disagree. post what you think trail blazed the metal craze! besides sabbath of course because they were awesome. I can't believe anyone doesn't like Iron Maiden. I do know that I could drive a group of humans to want to dive out of my vehicle jamming on Iron Maiden, with an awesome sound system too! But they have no taste in music :) |

Steve Grimmit (vocalist of band GRIM REAPER) almost joined Iron Maiden to replace Bruce? They also almost got Michael Kiske, formerly of Helloween as well. I think I remember hearing they almost got James Labrie of Dream Theater too, but that would be a terrible idea because Labrie kinda sucks. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1390296 United States 07/12/2011 12:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | And as for Bruce vs Paul, I'd definitely go with Bruce. But I have a huge respect for the first two Maiden albums, absolutely killer material, especially Killers. I would have liked to hear a Paul D'ianno Number of the Beast, as it was the last album that really had that punkier, thrashier Maiden sound. I SWEAR if they had a heavier sound for those first two albums they would've been credited as two of the first thrash albums. However, clearly the groundwork for speed in metal was laid down by the criminally underrated Deep Purple way back in '72. |
