Ron Paul...What an American should be.

I cannot believe that there is a single soul out there who would disagree with this man. It frustrates me to no end that there is even a question in someones mind that he is not a true, revolutionary, patriotic, and sincere leader. I happen to agree with every single point on his platform, but even if you do not agree with everything....there is most certainly more pros than cons when it comes to the strong points of his platform.

If every person, young and old, would only take a moment to read about what he stands for, Ron Paul would run away with the election...whether fairly represented or not.

If by some chance you are not completely familiar with what Ron Paul stands for, please take a look at his official campaign website. There is an easy way to take a look at his most passionate topics for those who don't have the time or patience to read a ton....oh wait, you're on GLP so you love reading a ton! (lol). Anyways, just take a look under the "store" category and click on the card fact-packs; they really sum it all up...what a great way to hi-light his goals and ideals. Here's a link directly to those facts:

*Im not pushing anyone to buy anything, I just found it interesting to read all of the platform arguments in short and to-the-point snippets...but if I could afford to buy all of those damn cards to pass out, I would!

GO RON PAUL GO!

Boy, are you in for a letdown if he gets elected President.

Just saying. There's always a giant chasm between what a candidate "stands for" and "promises" during the campaign and what he or she is actually able to accomplish once elected.

Re: Ron Paul...What an American should be.
It's pretty obvious that politicians lie but I'd be damned surprised if Ron Paul follows the long line of bullshit that's been flowing down the line from the White House.

First of all, he's been shunned by practically every presidential debate on television and never gave up. He has a real message for us, as Americans, that he truly believes in. He's not singing the same old tune that every other bullshit party sings to get his foot in the door.

Secondly, if you really believe that there are not higher powers at work here, then you will be sorely mistaken. The reason Mr.Paul gets excluded from so many public platforms is that he is not "with" them...he is "against" them. He's not a puppet who spews the rhetorical crap that everyone else does, and that makes him a real threat to the "powers that be."

This alone makes him more authentic and more promising than any candidate that I have ever know, since JFK...and look at what happened to him.

When Ron Paul gets elected, it won't be a let down...it will finally be a step in the right direction.

Oh, I didn't mean Paul's lying about anything, just that if he gets elected, he probably won't be able to follow through on his promises, even if he wants to. From your description of how the powers that be views him as a threat, he probably won't be elected President.

Sadly, I think you are right....just because a person deserves something (even if the majority agrees), the rigged country in which we live probably won't let it come to be.
