Inquiries with a local sheriff yielded: he knew the property owner was having such vehicles hauled in, and had been for a month already.

The sheriff wasn't concerned, expressed no anxiety, and had no idea what it was about. Seemed disinterested in investigating.

Other inquiries in the area yielded: the landowner had for some time been having old buildings hauled in by road.

The local concensus was that these buildings were being placed in the extensive wilderness of the property, as they weren't visible from the highway.

Interesting. It's got to be very tough for any patriot group to try to prepare themselves in a military sense. I mean how do you keep this stuff from the public eye? Are they all going to go into hiding at a certain point or do they just suddenly attack the NWO powers swiftly when the time is right and just play coy until then? Then again maybe the guy just likes big guns, lol.

I don't know a lot about tanks, but isn't the one in the picture an antique?

It might well be. I suspect you know more about them than me.

I've been told, though, that tanks sold to collectors have the barrel(s) filled with cement.

If you download those pics and magnify them, you'll see that even the machine gun barrel in the hull of the tank at left is covered with a mothballing material, perhaps "protectapeel".

That seems rather odd if the barrels are plugged with cement already, doesn't it?

Regarding the possible antique status of a tank--doesn't really matter how old they are, if the bores not cemented, does it? Decommissioned tanks that are officially off the books but never were deactivated would be perfect to quietly pre-position in case of enemy attack or TEOTWAWKI.

I know nothing about tanks, so I couldn't say. I do know the dual barrel one on the right must be an AA tank. Dunno what the one on the left is?

Any ex or current tankers here to identify?

Sound and vid-plays gone funky long ago on my puter, so can't view :-(

Is the AA tank a US or Brit tank, the one you suggest is the M42? I know the markings are US. Someone who saw the pics thought it might be a Brit tank in US garb.

The barrels in the vid still look a bit too close together to be the tank in the linked pics.

The plot's thick in several directions, too.

This area is near a dam and a high-mountain pass and magnificent ag-land. Places that might be worth fighting to hold.

It's not far as the crow flies from Vail-Aspen.

I knew a construction dude a few years ago who worked up in that area for a decade. Total hippie he was, a nice guy to have a cup of coffee with and chat in the mornings at the diner.

He swore up hill and down that Vail-Aspen had tanks already in place to control or blow the passes in event of TEOTWAWKI.

I always just figured "yeah, right, go light up again."

Now I'm wondering if maybe he hadn't known what he was talking about.

Maybe these tanks will be part of his security force when TSHTF?

All the wealthy can afford to spend big bucks on their security while the rest of us will be left fending off looters with our baseballs bats and glocks.

Boy, that's the truth, isn't it?

I suppose an AA tank would be ridiculously effective at crowd-control against baseball and Glock-wielding hordes or controlling a mountain pass with autos trying to come over it. It'd be horrendous.
