Right, good question. I need to check the long term dollar index but i think we are down about 20% off the high.

I only plan to hold them until it is TIME to sell.

As some of you may know, the Lord Jesus shocked me in 1999 by saying Buy Gold. When many traders sold their postions heading into the $1100 level God taught me to hold saying that it would soar. It is in that time frame that i created the above thread.

So, if the dollar crashes, how are you going to sell it into the Mayan..... wouldn't it be better to hold a long time currency like silver etc, vs sell for a useless currency?

The dollar is going to crash. So, right now might be a good time to divest yourself of dollars and buy something else that hopefully will retain its value. Like i said, silver right now might still be a really good buy. Many analysts are talking about $100 silver and higher. What i'm saying is... even if someone does buy silver in here i would still have an exit strategy. Most people see the Mayan Calendar climax at December 2012. So i would be looking to sell into that or possibly January 2013 at the latest. At least, that is what i'm thinking now. I may even sell most of my investments in January or so of 2012.

Oh, i think i understand better what you are asking.

First of all, a 'crash' is defined as a technical drop of 10% or more. Let's say in January of 2012 gold is at $2300 then yes i would still sell it in dollars. If in January of 2013 Gold was at $5000 then, again, i would still sell in dollars unless i was out of the country. Eventually, however, i think the usa dollar will be worthless unless they eventually back it with silver and gold like it was in the past.
