So what makes it different from the book of mormon, the koran, hindu bible, or all other religious books?

If it's up for your personal interpretation, who's right? Are you here to tell the Creator, "Hey you were wrong, sodomy is okay now, we're progressing". if you do, I'll stand far away from ya. ;)

Well my personal interpretation of the situation is that all of these books lay out the principles and values which are keys to laying the foundations for successful societies that follow the understandings of the divine that have been derived and interpreted through prophesy and observation.

Our current society has strayed so far away from the basic values that enable success in human groups over long periods of time, and I think we are going to feel the effects of what happens when powerful human forces attempt to do this for the long term. From a spiritual perspective, the consequences of this are increasing manifestation of the forces of the Shadow of the human collective conscious in consensual physical reality. I think the current expression of homosexuality as manifest in individuals and culture can be seen as one symptom of this... but the simple fact remains that this is a part of human nature, as humans do it, which is nature endowed by the Creator.

So the harder one fights against these forces, ironically, once a state of imbalance has been reached, the more these forces push back and attempt to establish roots in society. By further marginalizing whole groups that have a clear presence in civilization, the majority of society places a stigma on certain minorities as an attempt to suppress an aspect of human nature embodied in certain individuals whose lifestyle cannot be accepted for one reason or another.

I think the best course of action is to establish a love and acceptance of all individuals who understand the creeds of divine Love and Compassion, in whatever form spoken or unspoken they choose to do it, based on the understanding that in this day and age we are all to some degree subject to a state of being that does not fully satisfy the deeper needs of our existence as spiritual beings and recognize the beauty present in each human as God's Creation, doing his or her best to develop and implement strategies to cope with their own existence and the admittedly bizarre and increasingly inhumane times in which we live.
