For instance, I like illuminaughty normally but wth is he going on about in his latest thread. I feel like I need to go into the attic and dust off my secret decoder ring to make out what he's going on about.

They do it to make people think for themselves. The sheep hate this. They would rather the person spit out what they are thinking. They like to be told what to think. And because they can't form their own conclusions, they often can't see the point, or the persons intellect that went into the thought. Don't worry, people are getting wise. Soon more than 10% of the population will be able to think for themselves, then the riddles will begin to make sense to many.

OP, have you ever considered that the message is NOT for you?

Maybe the "riddles" and "cryptic" messages are intended for others here not seen

Lovin' the interpretation on THAT one.
