In 1999, it was necessary to move a 208-foot tall Cape Hatteras lighthouse to a location more than a half-mile away and the lighthouse weighs 4,830 tons. They didn't use cranes, but a method used by ancient egyptians... if i recall that one correctly. That 'Stone of Pregnant Woman' monolith weighs around 1,200 tons, so you do the math..... P.S. i have to agree with the OP, just SO narrow minded and one sided show... No criticism or real scientific approach to it... Or any other aspects for that matter, only the 'alien' one. And quite frankly, some of those guys on the show are just plain stupid. Quite entertaining show though. |

Everytime someone talks about aliens, we think that the aliens have technology so advanced that they are like star trek. But as long as the aliens have the ability or things that the society that they are visiting don't have or don't have words for makes it advanced. If all of us went back in time to the 15th century with our weaponry or knowledge, we would seem unstoppable to the humans of the 15th century. Lets say these Aliens came from Mars or the planet that Mars was a moon of before something shattered it into the asteriod belt. Maybe survivors of this planet had technology at our level today and knowing that their planet was about to be destroyed where able to build and send people to this planet tens of thousands of years ago. It took them months to get to this planet, they landed and brought with them as much of their technology they could to try to start anew. Well that is Excellent!
