Here is my letter to my Representative...

I read an interesting article today regarding the recent ATF/Justice Department fiasco, and was wondering what Congress was doing about it. The article can be found here...

If I'm reading this correctly, they imply that this entire operation was quite possibly the Obama Administration's (poor) attempt to justify unlegislated gun control. The writer states that they now have email evidence further substantiating this position, and after reading it, I'm not too sure I disagree.

If true, this illegal attempt to undermine our second amendment rights must be immediately investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent - up to and including impeachment and/or prosecution of any complicit government official. Given that the parties involved include members within the ATF, the Justice Department and quite possibly the White House, I believe that it is the job of Congress to pursue this matter with utmost haste.

That said, I'm curious to know exactly what Congress is doing about this. Where is the news about special investigations? Has Congress appointed a prosecutor? Are we ever going to take our country back, and follow the rulle of AMERICAN law again? I know that the budget wars are a priority (which is another rant in itself), but this administration's almost daily ineptitude, and now possible criminal behavior (on this and other fronts) is of such dire consequence to our country and constitution, I fear we won't survive the rest of his term - much less another term if (God forbid) he wins re-election by some miracle.

So, please tell me that you and others are actively investigating these allegations, that we will see evidence of same in the very near future, and that Congress fully intends to pursue each illegal act to the fullest extent available under current US law. To do otherwise would be an absolute travesty, and a disservice to those of us who've put our trust in you.

I know that you are one of the few shining lights remaining in Washington, and greatly appreciate your continued efforts on our behalf. I only hope that there are enough like you left to fix this mess.
