If you are owed a refund the IRS doesn't really care if you file...it's in your best interest to file and get your money though..the April 15th deadline really only applies if you end up owing money....you aren't in any trouble if you expect a refund.

Nope. i worked as a cashier. well, the only thing I can think of is that you didn't have enough withheld from your paychecks...was anyone else claiming you on their taxes?? that would increase your tax liability by not reducing your taxable income...
