OP, interesting post. I found this thread and it explained a lucid dream I had the other night; walking passively around different groups of people like taking a tour of new earth. One of the "more aware" dream characters told me that I was a 'principal' in what seemed like a parallel dimension and I was also shown celestial alignments and all number of fantastic light displays in the sky. I didn't register the specifics here but I will pay attention. It's almost like we are taking part in training exercises in the dream state for participation in the process you describe.
