I signed up for fb for the sole reason of seeing pictures of my grandchildren because these younger parents are not about actual photo albums.

I did have a fake name at first because I didn't want to be found by people I might not especially want to communicate with like old classmates or others just randomly collecting "friends".

I finally switched to my real name and set it to private and I check in once or twice a week.
