Is anyone else haunted by something they saw? I saw a video on GLP last week of someone getting their head cut off. Can't get it out of my head

yeah I stopped watching videos like that , I think they do more damage than people think . Totally brutal and barbaric . Try not to dwell on it and occupy your mind and you should soon forget it .

Not everyone's capable of handling those things. That isn't a bad thing, either. It may mean you have more of a conscious if anything. lol

was it the young Russian soldier being executed by Afghan Muslims? If so that one is distrubing because the guy getting beheaded looks so young. I watch some of these videos in order to KNOW the truth of mankinds EVIL acts that we all need to pay attention to so we understand what EVIL lives with us.

I've never thoguht of myself as a weak person. I guess I watched it thinking it would enlighten me to what war is really all about, but I sure wasn't ready for what I saw. I keep thinking about his family and about what his final thoughts were and whether he was in pain. Cannot get it out of my head. So tragic.

I'm not sure exactly which group it was but it was a young soldier and the video is a very close up shot of it from beginning to end, including that the man was clearly alive and terrified.

It will take a few months, but it will fade. The thing to take away from that video...there are thousands of decapitations alone online. The thing to remember atrocities still happen. Our world is not as happy and friendly as most people think. Just because people think these things arent going on since ww2 does not mean they arent. It is a tough and cruel world for a large portion of its population. Get a gun, protect yourself. Id rather die with a gun in my hand, not the floor on my knees.

Don't lose your head over it...I watched all the "Faces os death" movies when I was a kid...I just can't stand to see kids get hurt or killed...

Well then, take full ownership of your decision and 'morbid curiosity'. Ask yourself why you wanted to see such a thing, get to know your dark side, accepting all of yourself and move on. This is a good experience for you as you will learn from it; it's more about your feelings that are FOR humanity.

I don't think "going out and getting a gun" is the solution to our world's decapitation-problems.

Even if it did make the decapitations decline something tells me "people getting shot" would increase.

I don't know what the solution is. But I imagine on a socio-political-level it's slightly more complicated than arming the civillian populace.

And the video-in-question certainly sounds like the incident involving a`young Russian POW being be-headed by douchebag Chechens. I've never seen it. But years ago 2 of my friends watched it online while I was watching tv on the other side of the room.
