thats not true. the driver could have put his hands out the car window and stated back to the officer standing there near his side of the car early on he was a concealed carry permit holder and there is a gun in the vehicle.
he had all the time in the world. a cop went into the back seat after the guy got out and he could have said it to him then.
he kept quiet about it.

in NC all concealed carry holders are required to immediately place both hands out of their windows. that is the first nonverbal action to alert the officer that he is a concealed carry permit holder.
then the officer knows that and this whole issue never happens if done right.
not sure about Ohio, but if he would have held his card and hands out of the window and remained silent nothing would have happened.
look, the cop went into the back seat early on in the video and he said nothing to him...all he had to do was say 'i have a conceal carry permit" the officer would have immediately gotten out of the car, alerted the other officer and the whole situation could have been avoided.
i dont need a job in LE to know how to open my mouth and say i have a concealed carry permit...my requirement to let the officer know far outweighs him telling me to shut up.
the guy screwed up and got in trouble.
yes the cop was a hot head and overreacted, but maybe he was having a bad day..who knows.
