Better question, why is his supposedly greatest creation such a poorly designed, weak, pathetic creature with a primitive superstitious mind that is often immoral, evil, greedy, and corrupt?

Well accordingly to his book(?) and his followers ..it's because he is all seeing, all knowing. all loving and therefore designed it to be the perfect reflection of himself and his skills ...and this way ....what a joker he/she must be???

This story could well be an allegory, a parable, or it may be true

The first humans were given free will, and they exercized it but made a bad decision. The result of the wrong choice is all the woes we see in the world. If they had made the right decision we would be living in paradise.

The lesson could be, bad decisions bring woe and hardship, even on a personal level. Right decisions bring, not paradise but they do ususally result in a higher quality of life.

Anyway, one notion is that God created us and gave us free will, and the choices we make is the cause of the screwed up world.

Free will. That's why.

if only ALL OF US follow PERFECTLY the instructions that come on the manual (no robery, respect your father and mother, no extramarital sex, NO KILLING, NO STEAL, NO LIES)... this world should be a better one... A LOT!

But, as we insist on greedy, robery, lies, deception, sex-driven-life, abortion, etc. etc. etc. this world will be worst and worst EVERY SECOND...

Until He shows Himself and 'give us a lesson' on how to 'FOLLOW THE RULES' for once and for all

Because all aspects of the earth are run by HUMANS, not God! God gave us a brain to use and the free will to use it as we see fit. Obviously, we've failed miserably in many areas. We can't get along with each other, we're greedy, which leads to corruption, we're immoral and we've been fed superstitious crap all of our lives that God is controlling all aspects of our lives. Nothing is farther from the truth. When people begin to realize that, then maybe we'll take control of our own lives and take better care of the earth that is under our guardianship.

Oh grow up! We screw up your own lives, which affects the lives of those around us whether we realize it or not. When governments screw up, it affects everyone.
