Interesting, I live on a triple ley-line connection and see orbs all the time and during my meditations I have been shown an electrical grid just like you described and have been trying to figure out what it is.
These orbs come from the energy grid of the planet. They are not alien as some people think.
They are like the earth's cells...they are the ones that make the crop circles in our world. Orbs are intelligent parts of gaia's grid system. Everything comes from the grid.
