Churches in Texas praying for rain and we must continue to pray, too. Very serious situation--triple digit heat and humidity--power outages. Church in Midland to gather, pray for community I have had several people in the community approach me and ask, "When is the church of Midland going to recognize our need not only for rain, but for God's presence?" Then they would say, "we need to come together and humble ourselves and pray." So the hunger not only for rain but also for God's presence seems to be real and growing. [ link to www.mywesttexas.com] The LORD want HIS people to repent....no where in the article did I see this.... Praying, seeking HIS presence and fasting are all good things...but without repentance will HE hear?? if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 They would rather stone Jeremiah, put him in a dry well than repent and return to God. Repentance is always for somnebody else, and not me. Right? But then he showed me my sin, because I asked him too...
