If the states sucseede from the Union how can we be sure that they will even abide by the US constitution ? The constitution is after all a federal document.If the states are no longer part of the federal union,then each state is likely to have its own laws, including laws regarding travel, and moving to and from the given state.

Now we do have a sense of unity. That should make it easier to create compromises on issues such as travel, commerce, etc.
