Back in the days, the Democrats were the party of the common man. Call it "socialist", if you will, but this country began to prosper with the welfare of We The People. An old-age pension fund was set up to take care of widows who had lost their husbands. Then a Social Security trust fund was set up to give future seniors some type of income when they got too old to work. And the country blossomed. Then came the snakes in the Republican party who pandered to the rich industrialists. They became "Democrats" in name only, so that now the two parties worked for the bankers and the industrialists, which continue to this day, while the common man pays the bill for running the government with its numerous agencies, finances the wars, pays for foreign subsidies, pays for illegal people to enter the country and live off the rest of us. Tax, tax, tax, spend, spend, spend to keep the rich living in luxury off the backs of the working man. If only "they" hadn't shot Kennedy, then George Wallace, both Democrats, we wouldn't be in the shape we are today. We'd still be a prosperous and free people. . |

Used to be, after the republicans destroyed the USA, the Democrats would arrive on the scene to clean up the mess and put the country back together. All economic bad times were started during the presidency of republicans and ended when we elected democrats. Democrats ALWAYS saved the sinking ship. Then came Obama and pretty much wiped out my theory... |

Say we are in a great great depression as a result of over spending and anti-business policies. Our big government destroyed all of the job producing business....would the democratic party still get millions of people to vote for them by saying tax rich people and corporations???? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1434095sadly I know the answer is yes. It's called class war-fare and has been used by the democrat party to control the morans for decades. Shut the hell up, repuke. Your feed-the-rich, privatize and deregulate, trickle down ideology is a complete failure and we no longer care what you have to say. Our country is in ruins because of you lying fucks. |

Hmmm, the 'have nots', who starve, attacking the 'haves' is unnatural? It is control? Hmmmmmm. Sucker guy! You saying that it is class warfare and keep a crooked system alive, that is fucking control man. All the rich keep their eyes shut about the poor, cos if they looked, even they would think it is a fucking unfair system how this world divides it's wealth. |

If only "they" hadn't shot Kennedy, then George Wallace, both Democrats, we wouldn't be in the shape we are today. We'd still be a prosperous and free people. . From FDR's speech to Congress about Social Security. "In the important field of security for our old people, it seems necessary to adopt three principles: First, noncontributory old-age pensions for those who are now too old to build up their own insurance. It is, of course, clear that for perhaps 30 years to come funds will have to be provided by the States and the Federal Government to meet these pensions. Second, compulsory contributory annuities which in time will establish a self-supporting system for those now young and for future generations. Third, voluntary contributory annuities by which individual initiative can increase the annual amounts received in old age. It is proposed that the Federal Government assume one-half of the cost of the old-age pension plan, which ought ultimately to be supplanted by self-supporting annuity plans." I'm afraid that you bought into a fairytale. The righteous democrats are for protecting the elderly against the evil Republicans. In truth, even FDR didn't believe that SS would last long. It was a ponzi scheme from the beginning. If people like you didn't kick and scream every time a reform was offered, then you and I would have a retirement system to fall back on. Instead, we have a bunch of IOU's from a bankrupt Government. Thanks for destroying my old age. |
