Grace is, therefore, GOD'S unmerited favor - HIS goodness toward those who have no claim on, nor reason to expect, divine favor.
Salvation is not our achievement, but it is a gift from GOD.
It is 'not of ourselves' and "not of works." Salvation is indeed the most extraordinary expression of GOD'S GRACE.

Faith, wherever present, exists in the mind, and it is generated by the HOLY SPIRIT'S influence of light and peace. Faith, in common with every other Christian virtue, exists in the heart that has responded to spiritual influences.
"Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the WORD OF GOD "-Rom. 10:17
Soundness of faith' comes through hearing, thinking, learning and trusting, and sometimes by victory following rebuke.-Titus 1:13

We are saved by grace. The salvation comes through faith in GOD'S revealed purpose in HIS SON who died for all. Nothing aside from faith would enable our receiving of the gift of salvation. We of the human family were justly condemned to death for sin and disobedience. Those who break GOD'S righteous law have no standing before HIM in their own righteousness. Inasmuch as "there is none righteous, no, not one," all need GOD'S GRACE and favor.
None in the human family has a vantage point or place of approach from which to require or demand GOD'S blessing. GOD Himself needed to make the first move in the rescue of man. And He did!!!

Titus 2:11-14
For the GRACE OF GOD that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and GODLY lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great GOD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who gave HIMSELF for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for HIMSELF a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Well done. Always as you are led of the Holy Spirit, in doing so you will find that you dont have to manufacture anything from your self. And thats what we dont want, manufacturing from within our own selves. We want God to do it, we dont want us to do it in Gods name as if He was doing it by our efforts. Its either Him or us thats doing it. There is very little effort on our part when He is doing it through us.

Very nicely put.If my flesh doesn't get in the way,it's only because of the grace of GOD.Is that you patch?Your insight reminded me of a friend that once posted here.

Selfishness is nothing other then the pursuit of gratification of ones mindless whims at any given moment.The consequences and the enormity of the moral corruption it perpetuates,is hidden from most,yet so obvious to few.Morality is a code of values to guide man's choices and actions that determine the purpose and the course of their life.Why does man need a code of moral values?It should be obvious by now,to those who have been awakened.

Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceeds from the achievement of ones values.If man values worldly pleasures,his happiness is the measure of success he achieves in it.What do you value?Where do you store your treasures?

Then we must pursue selflessness,and it must start with us who profess the love of JESUS.The LORD has revealed this to me in order for me to come out of babylon,HE needed to reveal to me how filthy my flesh is and has been by participating in it.The HOLY SPIRIT has convicted me of such things,for correction cometh not from pointing the finger out.
