The ROOM...A Christian BrainStorming (((( Thread )))) Current Events...

Thanks McGuyver for posting and keeping this little thread alive! You and a few others are still faithful here and I really appreciate it! I miss how lively the "Room" use to be when TW, Koffee, Once4all, Lisa*Lisa, DaughterinNYC, and GalonF4TL use to regularly post here. (Whew! Did I miss anybody? ) I always thought of the "Room" as my little online church. I sure miss it! I wish everyone would come back!

We are being rejected by the world but in the sight of God chosen and precious. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy people, as we continue to praise Him who has called us out of the darkness into His Marvelous Light. And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion on the day that Jesus Christ returns.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given to me, I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one to another.

There are many people who claim to be inside the church, but they are really outside of it, for they do not practice the Love and Life of Jesus. Tho many may seem to be outside of the church, they are really inside of it, for they indeed practice the Love and Life of Jesus. Blessed are they who have been persecuted within themselves,for it is they who have truly come to know the Father, for they have taken up the inward conscious struggle for growth and refinement of oneself, on a moral and spiritual level.

When you give birth to that which is within yourself, what you bring forth, will save you. If you possess nothing within, that absence, will destroy you. For if you will not know yourself, you will dwell in poverty, and it is you who are that poverty. Whoever searches, must continue to search until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed by the truth of this world. And being disturbed, they will then begin to marvel at the Loving Grace God has bestowed upon them, thru His Son, Jesus Christ. Connect with the Spirit of God within you, and you will start living within the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Bear with each other and forgive one another. If any of us should have a grievance against someone, forgive them, just as the Lord has forgiven us. Always be honest, count your blessings, forgive and forget, be supportive of one another, be kind and tenderhearted, keep your promises, comfort one another and above all love one another. Stand firm, let nothing move us from fully giving ourselves to the work of the Lord, because we know our labor is not in vain. We have received God's Grace without having to make any payment, so we do these things without expecting any repayment in return.

Oh my gosh,TW! Is that really you?!! We've really missed you! Where have you been? McGuyver has been keeping this thread going but so many people have left! Is it really you? I hesitate because you know how people on GLP joke around. I hope it's really you and that you're ok! I hope you'll continue to post! You've been gone a really long time!

Hey Guys! With all the lies and deceptions coming from Hollywood these days, I thought this 3 minute short film sets the record straight.

The god of this world (Lucifer), has blinded the minds of those which believe not, so that the Light of the Glorious Gospel of Christ, should not shine upon them. In a world inverted, bad is good, dark is light, lawlessness reigns, but only for a spell. Humanity has underestimated Lucifer and in doing so, allowed ourselves to be fooled by his lies. Lucifer has studied mankind from the beginning and he has deceived the majority into worshiping him and rejecting God. Who has considered the length, width, depth, and breadth of study that has been conducted on humanity by Lucifer? If Lucifer desires to be like the Most High, to what degree has one considered his machinations? What degree of influence has Lucifer had on history, governments, social engineering, science and us? My suggestion that I put forth here, is that the degree to which the human race has been influenced, is near unimaginable.

Oh look and see you blind generation, hear the words of the Lord and live. God is perfect love, and in His love He will chastise each child who He receives. He chastise them with an iron rod and trys them with fire, so that they may walk in His ways. Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth, therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. Teach me Lord, and I will hold my tongue, cause me to understand wherein I have erred. I will say unto God, do not condemn me, shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

If there is no transformation, no fruit of the Spirit of God in us, then we are in a religion, not a relationship. Look, we are all sinners, some of us are sinners saved by the wonderful grace that God provided for us. Although we still have some of that old nature inside us, there must be some visible signs of progress showing somewhere. We expect our own children to show some degree of development as they grow, and God is looking for the same from us who claim to be followers of His Son. God does not require perfection from us while we make our way thru this sinful world, but He does require us to show our devotion to Him, by transforming into mature christians gaining ever increasing faith, as we persevere in an ever increasing sinful world, along the path Jesus has set before us.

Jesus did not die to bring us religion, He died to change our nature, our inner being and to completely give us a new birth thru the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Have you come into a relationship with God through Jesus? Is He in the process of transforming you via His Holy Spirit living inside you? Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds ,because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance and perseverance must finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness and all things shall be added unto you. And if any of you are in need of wisdom, you should go to the Father and ask, for it is the Spirit of God that does the good works within us and removes the veil that once blinded us. Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you, ask and you shall receive. Jesus came to reveal the truth of this world, so that we could be set free from the chains of deceit that satan uses to try and blind us. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again within the yoke of bondage.

Coming to America, courtesy of your muslim leader, approved by your treasonous congress and house of representative politicians. Our country is all but taken over because of its citizens own greed, lust, vanity and sexual perversions have become more important then our freedom and good character. Our politicians have no moral compass because they were raised in a immoral society, that has deported God and has all but banned the mention of His Son, Jesus. All that is left to do is take away our guns and the vast majority will comply because we have become weak and have lost our good character as a nation. And this is coming about when we are allowing unvetted muslims who hate us into our country. The few that are awake and will not comply will be eliminated, leaving only the blind who will continue to put their hope in a corrupt, evil government. Islam is not a peaceful religion, their are no refugees fleeing from terror, they are coming to terrorize all western nations and force Islam upon all people. And our Muslim president, along with all his muslim brotherhood cohorts, who have been appointed to key government positions, have already fundamentally changed this country into a nation ripe for takeover. They have silenced all whistleblowers, patriots who would love to come forward, but realize that there is no protection for them because the citizens of this country have become weak minded and have lost their backbones. We are allies to some of the worst human rights violator countries in the world. Saudi Arabia for one and Turkey who is supplying isis with weapons with the approval of our treasonous muslim in chief.

Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal. For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries. Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues, for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes. God will give back to her as she has given, pay her back double for what she has done, pour her a double portion from her own cup. He will give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave to herself.

Although we see ungodliness increasing and the failure of society to embrace the teachings of Jesus, God has already given us victory, thru His Son. God has always known who His children are in advance and He has chosen them at His appointed time to become just like His Son,clothed in righteousness. God sees in us, what we can not see in ourselves yet. God is merciful and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against Him. He has blotted out, as a thick cloud, our transgressions, and as a cloud, our sins return unto Him, for He has redeemed us. Although we are afflicted in every way, we are not crushed. We may be perplexed at times,but never driven to despair, for our eyes are fixed on Him. We may face persecution in this world, but we will never be forsaken, by our Loving God. This world may strike us down but it can not destroy us, for we willingly pick up our crosses,choosing to endure the persecution of those in this world that have been given over to their own delusions by God Himself, as we refuse to participate in their ungodly acts.

The Lord is on my side, I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is on my side as my helper, I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. I will put on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Call upon Him and pray to Him, and He will hear you. You will seek Him and find Him, when you seek Him with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations. Fear not, for I am with you and be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Blessed is he who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but takes delight in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaves do not wither. In all that he does, he prospers, although not in a worldly way, but an inward prosperity, so look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. I have concluded that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing, with the glory that is to be soon revealed to us, so let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you. Bind them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart, so that you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In due time, all truths will be revealed to us.

Two thousand years since the Father sent His Son to show us the way and mankinds greatest accomplishment has been the multitude of ways we have found to hate and kill each other. O’ man, deceitful in all your ways. Deceived by your own imaginations, doing those things that seem right in your own sight, only to give way to your own folly, and ultimately, to your own destruction.

There can never be peace when evil people are the architects. Without Jesus Christ, there is no peace in the nations. Without Jesus Christ, there is no peace in the churches. Without Jesus Christ, there is no peace in the families. And without Jesus Christ, there is no peace in our hearts.

We all start off well born into this world, then the depravity of this world slowly starts to creep in, but for the repentent christian, it’s all about finishing well. It’s all about perseverance. We always want the best for ourselves, and God wants that too. It’s just that we have one idea about what that is, and God might have another idea. It is our righteous perseverance that says to God, “I want your way and not mine. Do what it takes, God, to make me what you most want me to be.”

We all have a choice to make. One that nobody else can make for us. God has called us to persevere, and we can accept or reject that call. If we accept His call, then we choose to rest in the peace that we are growing into the maturity God has prescribed for us. It’s about His way and His plan, not our way or our plan. His plan for us may not necessarily be the prescription we would have chosen, but someday, if we faithfully persevere, we will come through to the other side, perfect, complete, and not lacking in anything.

The devil is a master at attacking the thought life of a Christian. His war strategy involves tactics of deception, pressure, and enticement, to turn our thinking away from God and toward his worldly temptations. The devil knows that every action that flows out of the human heart originates from our thoughts. He knows that our moral character is an exact image of our thinking. Our thoughts determine whether our hearts will drift towards God or the fallen ones. Do not call to mind your former transgressions, or ponder your failings of the past. For God is about to do something new. See, He has already begun it in you, do you not see it?

Our thoughts are a mighty weapon that can forge our hearts into a steel fortress for God, or they can be a stealth deceiver that penetrates our inner lives, destroys our hearts, and leads us into depravity. Our thoughts are much more powerful than any man made weapon and they are the most critical component to our spiritual growth. We must have a disciplined thought life that is focused like a laser on God and His Word, or our hearts will become slaves to spiritual apathy and worldly lusts.

God is sounding out a clarion call to all who will listen, that what we think is critically important to our hearts. God knows He cannot have our hearts if He does not first have our thoughts. We are all the prodigal sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, and the Spirit of God within us, is calling out to us all to come back home.Jesus came to free us from the thinking and entanglements of this world, so that the indwelling Word of God would reveal all things to us who are sincere in our search for the Truth.

We belong to God, we are His children. We have been given victory over evil because the Spirit of God who lives in us is greater than the evil spirits who live in this world. This is the Word of God and we must embrace it and live in the light of it. We must meditate on it and speak it. We must resist any contrary thought the enemy might try to place in our thinking.The Spirit of God, who is in us, is greater than anything we will ever face.

In our walk with the Lord, we are to be in this world, but not of this world. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.You have searched us Lord and are familiar with all our ways. Before a word is on our tongues Lord, You know it completely.Lord, please do not ever leave us, for apart from You, we have no good thing.
