No, praying and opening to read your Bible is NOT evil. Going on your logic, being baptized by the Holy Spirit, listening to His voice, and even praying is evil also. When it comes to the Almighty and His Word, there is no evil. Come on.......use discernment here. When you start to attach evil connotations to Holy things such as prayer and the Bible, you are walking away from the Holy Spirit. Think about it. I feel very strongly about this. Asking a question and opening up a book to get the answer is divination. As soon as I ran across this definition I knew for sure that I have been in error. Here, I found some videos that show the Bible can be used for unholy purposes. Before being so quick to accuse me of walking away from the Holy Spirit, just sit with it awhile. I know exactly who these 2 people are in those videos you just posted, and I won't even watch them. I've been around this block a few times and I know the characters involved. You're wrong friend. You can't call what is Holy evil. One of the characters in the video is a person that claims the Bible is Not the Word of God. The other character is one of the most hateful people on youtube that I've ever come across. You want to endorse and follow these characters, be my guest. But, I know what they are all about, and you're heading in the wrong direction. Luke 11 "Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed. But some of them said, “By Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons.” Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven. Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you." Did I say I know enough about these two people to wholeheartedly endorse them? No. Video 1 I chose because he talks of people who distort and twist the scriptures in order to mislead and control others. Is that a holy thing to do? No. (I DO NOT AGREE WITH EVERYTHING IN THAT VIDEO. I only used it because it talked of twisting doctrine or using out of context, which is a practice I don't agree with.) Video 2 I chose because she talks of people who take a verse or prayer out of the Bible and plug it in books or videos as a formula related to "The Secret" type of "drawing things to you." Is that holy? No. I understand that your beliefs are threatened as you have chosen to endorse a teacher/s on youtube who are introducing a new doctrine, and that you endorse said person because your divination told you that she is a prophet. Rather than taking this info I have shared with you to prayer and careful contemplation, you have accused me of falling away from God. When I show you examples so I can help show you something, you refuse to watch. What is the quote about Jesus and Beelzebub included in your post for? I don't follow how it is connected to what we are talking about. Unless you are accusing me of something horrible. I never said that reading the Word of God is an unholy thing. I just said that using the bible as a divination tool is an unholy thing.
