Hi All! I hope your New Year is off to a good start! I found a really interesting video that was mentioned over on 5 Doves. It's presented as:

On a personal note, speaking of things that are really kind of "Out There", I've been having some really weird dreams lately. I've had 2 in the last week and I know they are demonic attacks. Even telling you this scares me a little, because the dreams were so frightening! This is a first time for me, I've never had these kind of dreams before. Maybe someone can give me some kind of insight of what I should do. I won't go into the first dream, but in the second one I was face to face with a huge demonic entity. I believe I was quoting scriptures and trying to tell it to leave in Jesus's name but the only thing I really remember telling it was that I was a child of God. This huge thing just sneered at me and refused to back down. I could see the other bodies on the ground that it had dismembered. It was so very frightening! I couldn't understand why it refused to leave when I was quoting everything I could think of in the Bible and it was still threatening me. It was really realistic and really frightening!

When I thought about the dream later, I couldn't understand why it didn't leave, but at the same time the thought came to me that it didn't harm me in the dream. Anyway I'm a little spooked about going to sleep tonight. I pray for the Lord's protection. Have any of you had such a dream where you really felt you were spiritually under attack?

Love you guys and I'm really hoping that this was really only from having a bad meal!

Thanks McGuyvor for your insight and video that you posted. This dream really bothered me. My mind still often brings up the terrible image of this thing. It stood over 8 feet tall and if this thing was real then I feel horrified for the people left after the rapture that might encounter these things. Steven King couldn't even do this thing justice! What bothered me so much was that when the dream began, I felt strong. I felt powerful and that it would have to leave me in the name of Jesus. When I tried to rebuke it and it just sneered and laughed, I began to become so frightened and I couldn't understand why everything I had been taught, wasn't working. I don't remember all I said to it, only the last words that I was a child of God. I seemed to be able to scramble away from it after those words.

I kind of wonder if my armour is lacking. I wear the armor of protection but not the armor for battle. I've mentioned before that I really need to start reading my Bible, but after this dream I feel maybe I need to memorize more Bible verses! I sure don't ever want to encounter this thing unarmed again!

That was quite a dream, I'll say! But I think your highlighted response is your answer...I agree with McGuyver that you were never actually harmed but the fear is what is lingering. Eat His Word for Spiritual strength...The Lord only used Sacred Scripture when battling satan.

"IT IS WRITTEN!"

Remember that the Lord is your strength and your salvation in ANY attack....spiritual OR physical.

I get harassed in my dreams by demons too sometimes. The main purpose is to scare you, and to make you think you're doing something wrong.

Before you go to bed each night, ask the Lord to protect your dreams from evil attacks in Jesus name. Ask for a hedge of protection to surround you in Jesus name.

Note that all nightmares are not attacks, but we watch and read alot of things and our minds sometimes bring these things up in dreams too. Especially if you're watching videos about these things. Our minds spit back out what we put in.

Some are attacks and some aren't.......I deal with it too. You're not alone and it does not mean that there is something wrong with you.

Hi Lisa! Yes I'm definately asking for protection each night since that dream. I'm also starting to wonder if you're right about it just being a nightmare produced by my own imagination. The reason why I'm having doubts about it being real is the demon did not back down at the name of Jesus. It did not seem to be affected at all and it didn't leave but continued to mock and try to frighten me. I've always been taught that demons flee at Jesus name and also when people have supposedly been abducted, if they call out to Jesus, the entity flees. I have a strong faith in the power of the name of Jesus. This most likely was just a nightmare, however probably invoked by the dark side.

Yea, that's what I'm thinking too. But if you ever get anything like that again, be firm and tell it to leave in Jesus name and continue to ask for protection each night before you go to sleep.

But, this stuff happens to alot of us, so don't let it trouble you and make you think that you're the only one.

I hate to say it but we haven't seen NOTHING YET.
